About this ebook
You do not measure the Bible against Post-modern Western social expectations. Instead, you measure the West and every other society and culture against the standards God set forth in His Word. It’s not that God expects us to clone the Hebrew society in our own day and time; it won’t fit. Rather, in “rightly dividing the Word,” we discern the underlying facts of human nature manifested in Hebrew customs by reading about them from within the ancient Hebrew moral standards. This brief book should help to dispel popular Western myths about relationships and establish a solid biblical model.

All of my books are for the glory of Jesus Christ, but this one is also in honor of my one and only beloved:
Veloyce
The sound of her name falls gentle on my ears
Like the music of tuned wind chimes
wafting on the breeze of a soft summer night.
The touch of her hand plays music on my skin,
and electrifies my soul with the power of love
that never dies.
Chapter 1: Credentials
Most of my books attempt to stand back, addressing the reader in the third person. That won’t work here.
The nature of the topic draws far too much criticism and armchair analysis of motives and what some may suppose was the writer’s personal experience. While I can’t prevent readers doing that, perhaps I can blunt the obvious shallow critiques that would keep you from learning something useful.
My intent is entirely pastoral. The book is free and I’m not attempting to build any little kingdoms of followers with an echo chamber effect. This is nothing more than my personal experience and observations. At least some of it simply won’t apply to you. That’s the nature of God’s work through those He calls in this fallen world.
The 18th of September 2013 is my 57th birthday. I’m not in the hunt; I’ve been married to the same lady since 1978. I married exceptionally well, someone eminently suitable for my temperament and calling. I had the good fortune of training in pastoral marriage counseling before I met my spouse. It was too easy to recognize a good fit when I met her. She remains my one passion among women. I can claim a history of total fidelity, but you’ll have to decide for yourself how true that might be.
Further, I am at the age and level of exposure to environmental pharmaceuticals that my libido is about gone. It still works somewhat with my wife only because of the vast ocean of trust she has earned. Otherwise, the wiring between my testosterone and my sense of taste in flesh is largely burned out. Not much of anything or anyone turns
