About this ebook
Natural Whole Foods Way to Build an Ageless Body is the third and final segment of the three-part series about foods, fluids, and fortifiers. The e-book contains preventative health facts and tips that cover the major, macronutrient groups, namely, carbohydrates, protein, and fatty acids. There is also a section on fiber owing to its importance in a healthy diet.
In addition, a number of nutrition myths are debunked along the way and resources added throughout the e-book, where appropriate. Everything discussed in the e-book stems from the application of the natural, whole foods way of eating.
Moreover, like the other publications in the series, which are entitled The Top Five Fluids for Health and Hydration and The Ten Best Fortifiers for Health and Nutrition, this e-book is another one of the great equalizers when it comes to the truth about health and nutrition.
It addresses the salient information that is missing in today's world, especially if one has been exposed for too long to the mainstream where half-truths and misinformation prevail when it comes to proper nutrition. We are certain it will fill that knowledge gap.
After implementing the natural, whole foods way of eating, you will take your health and nutrition to the next level and begin to experience a new you at the cellular level. You will now be on the road to an ageless body.
Jim Safianuk
Jim Safianuk originally graduated in Honours Chemistry from the University of Waterloo. He worked in various technical roles in the chemical process industries throughout the 1980s and 1990s. However, he always wanted to improve his soft skills and increase the breadth of what he could offer to business and industry. To further this end, Jim continued his education and in 1999 received a diploma in article writing from the Long Ridge Writers Group, which helped in the writing of non-fiction articles for the magazine market, as well as with the prose needed in-between the procedures. In addition, in 2000 he also obtained a certificate in Technical Communications from George Brown College. This was the knowledge he needed to write procedural content. From 2000 to 2008 he worked both full-time and on a contract basis as a technical writer. This is where he received his experience in developing: user guides, tutorials, training manuals, reference texts, and help systems. Along the way he also completed a certificate in Web Programming from Centennial College where he learned to design and develop web and intranet sites, both the back and front end. This required an understanding of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, PHP, and MySQL. From 2004 to 2008 Jim built two of his own sites, as well as two client sites. He also wrote all of the content for the above web sites. It was during this period of time that he gained experience in the creation of online content, including the writing of: regular pages, landing pages, procedural content, online articles, Q and A pages, and instructional courses. He also learned to optimize the above sites for good search engine placements. In addition, Jim is an accomplished copy editor, both for printed publications and site content. He considers this a very useful skill because of the need to self-edit his own work. However, after he found his true purpose in life in early 2008, he decided to make the transition to preventative health care. First, he received his Certified Personal Trainer (ACE-CPT) designation from the American Council on Exercise in August of 2009. This formalized training was right up his alley because he was very active in sports and recreation all his life, both as a downhill ski instructor and inline skating coach, as well as a participant in other outdoor activities. Next, he graduated with a Diploma in Holistic Nutrition (DHN) from the Edison Institute of Nutrition in January of 2010. Soon after in February of 2010 he obtained the designation of Registered Orthomolecular Health Practitioner (ROHP) from the International Organization of Nutritional Consultants (IONC). Finally, he stepped completely out of the mainstream to find the truth about health and fitness, as well as nutrition and exercise. He moved out of the city to a pristine environment, dropped cable television, threw out the T.V., and cancelled all magazine and newspaper subscriptions. He now had the full-spectrum of background knowledge he needed to help people, but in the most meaningful way possible, which was through a number of preventative health initiatives. Jim combined his science background, writing skills, and analytical abilities with his knowledge of holistic nutrition, detoxification methods, exercise physiology, and stress reduction in the development of three, comprehensive preventative health programs for adults aged 25 to 65. The current programs include the: Permanent Weight Loss Program, Disease Prevention Program, and Longevity and Lifestyle Program. Throughout the design phase of the above programs, he used a root-cause, prevention-based, solution-driven approach to weight problems, disease conditions, and longevity factors. It is his firm belief that disease is preventable and that superior health can be built through a four-pillar approach, which includes: 1. Nutrition that is optimized for the unique, biochemical makeup of the individual. This stems from a natural, whole foods way of eating that is geared to supplying the essential nutrients and keeping new toxins out of the body. The goal here is to normalize the digestive system for proper breakdown and absorption of nutrients on a daily basis. 2. Cleansing, drainage, and detoxification protocols to remove stored toxins and restore bodily functions. The methods are introduced in a specific order to first enhance the elimination system and then to rebuild the detoxification system. 3. Exercise programs that are customized for the individual to recover lost lung capacity, muscle mass, and bone density, as well as to strengthen, tone, and energize the body. Here, the muscular, skeletal, respiratory, and cardiovascular systems are addressed. 4. Stress reduction techniques to keep the immune, endocrine, and nervous systems strong, balanced, and auto-regulating. This pillar also includes a sleep restoration sub-program, if needed, since the proper amount of sleep each night is essential for self-repair, regeneration, and growth.

Chapter 1: Start Natural and Stay Whole
The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease.
...by Thomas Edison
The natural, whole foods way will help you build an ageless body. Weave the tips into your lifestyle and any excess fat you have will melt away. Go slow! Rome wasn't built in a day and you can't rebuild your body in a day.
But always remember to start natural and stay whole.
Start Natural
Here, the health and nutrition tips emphasize the natural, whole foods way. Throughout the tips and around our site the words, the natural, whole foods way of eating
are mentioned quite often. This is not a diet per say, but a way of eating according to our ancestral past and where we stand on the evolutionary scale.
Natural should be the starting point for everyone.
And from that point on, you need to tailor and fine tune the foods you eat for your unique body type. Nature put the food together that way for ease of use in the body.
Humans are designed to eat a variety of foods in their natural state. This means little or no processing because refining destroys and/or removes the many:
vitamins,
minerals,
enzymes, and
antioxidants
that you need to sustain good health.
It also means no artificial additives like:
preservatives,
colorants,
emulsifiers,
sweeteners, and
flavorings.
Over time these substances wreak havoc on the body as a whole and in particular the immune system because it treats them as foreign invaders or in other words as poisons.
Stay Whole
The foods also need to be as whole, as possible. Whole means they are nutrient dense and structurally intact.
However, when you separate a food into its parts you ruin the synergies that are available to you
