- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I've been picking up quite a few Twitter followers of late, for whom English is a second, or even third, language. Since I'm rather out-of-touch when it comes to people whose native language isn't English, I thought I'd pick this book up.
It's actually pretty good! Not just for ESL students, I think it's a valuable resource for anyone wishing to improve their writing skills. Even for those of us who've been writing in English for quite some time now, it's always good to get back to basics, and there are a few tips that I actually never thought of before.
The tips are clear, easy to understand, and immediately actionable. If you're interested in communicating better using written English, give this book a go.
My only beef with it is the fact that I spotted a few typographical errors in it, which considering the type of book it is, caused me to mark it down a bit more than I would've in any other kind of book.
