Shopping has become a new hot spot in China’s retail industry, which has not only attracted the attention of their domestic business, but also attracted the attention of international retail giants. But after all, the domestic shopping center is still in the embryonic period. Due to lack of mature and successful experiences to guide the theory of reference and mature talents, shopping center industry in the development process, is still difficult. And Super Brand Mall is the typical case in China. For SBM it must continuously seek to identify the emerging trends, interpret, assimilate, and address them in its retail spaces. Failure to re-invent and stay relevant to the emerging trends would relegate SBM to an awkward situation. This book seeks to answer the question of how Super Brand Mall develops and what we can expect from this center of consumption in the near future. We analysis the key success factors of a shopping mall, and make some suggestions for SBM, based on the factor analysis.

1. INTRODUCTION
This section presents a background to this study and brief presentation of the case, Super Brand Mall (SBM). I further address my research focus, purpose, limitations, potential contributions, and lastly the thesis structure.
1.1 Background
After years of rapid development, China’s retail industry has made great progress. In recent years, shopping center boom is an obvious example. Shopping has become a new hot spot in China’s retail industry, which has not only attracted the attention of their domestic business, but also attracted the attention of international retail giants. But after all, the domestic shopping center is still in the embryonic period. Due to lack of mature and successful experiences to guide the theory of reference and mature talents, shopping center industry in the development process, is still difficult. Most of malls in China are copying the malls in America or Europe. Meanwhile, e-commerce and mobile commerce have a large impact on retail industry. Many people even think that ecommerce will be the downfall of the brick-and –mortar stores. And exactly, the ecommerce is offering cheaper goods and have made the volumes in the brick-and –mortar stores lower than before.
