    This tasty dish is a meal in itself. Everyone will love this satisfying thick chowder.

    PREP TIME: 25 MIN

    COOK TIME: 3-3 ½ HRS HIGH

    6-7 HRS LOW

    INGREDIENTS:

    1 ½ cups chicken broth

    2 medium potatoes cut into ½ inch cubes

    1-10 ¾ oz. can cream of celery soup

    1-10 oz. package frozen whole kernel corn

    1-10 oz. package frozen baby lima beans

    1 cup onion, chopped

    1/3 cup chicken broth or white wine

    1 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning

    2 cloves garlic, minced

    1 pound white fish fillets

    1 14 ½ oz. can stewed tomatoes, drained

    1 ½ cups milk

    DIRECTIONS:

    In a 3 ½ - 4 quart slow cooker, combine potatoes, chicken broth, celery soup, frozen corn, frozen lima beans, onion, wine, lemon-pepper seasoning and garlic. Cover and cook on low heat setting for 6 to 7 hours or on high heat setting for 3 to 3 ½ hours.

    If using low-heat setting, turn to high-heat setting. Add fish. Cover and cook for 1 hour more.

    Add tomatoes and milk to cooker, stirring gently to break up fish.

    Manhattan Clam Chowder

    This recipe contains ingredients very often found in your kitchen. Keep some cans of minced clams in your pantry for those, What’s for dinner tonight? days.

    COOK TIME: 8-10 HRS LOW

    4-5 HRS HIGH

    INGREDIENTS:

    2 medium potatoes cut into ½ inch cubes. Leave on peelings for extra nutrition.

    1-10 oz. can whole baby clams or 2-6 ½ oz. cans minced clams

    1-14 ½ oz. can stewed tomatoes, undrained

    1 ½ cups spicy tomato juice or spicy vegetable juice

    1 cup onion, chopped

    1 cup celery with leaves, chopped

    ½ cup green pepper, chopped

    1 bay leaf

    ½ teaspoon dried thyme, crushed

    4 slices bacon. Cook crisp and crumble or use ¼ cup cooked bacon
