    The sexual impotence

From the older authors that consecrate special monographs to this problem, we mention Stekel, Higier, Forel. Since 1891 Bechterey and Mislovski have pointed blank over the connection between the activity of the cerebral shell and the sexual behavior. Pussep shows that, through the electrical irritation of the cortex at dog, it can be produced erection. Since 1928, the Russian authors took up the topic of the term of sexual neurosis.

Nowadays, the importance of this problem is attested also by the multitude of monographs about the sexual impotence, of some famous authors like Kinsey and his coworkers (1948), P. Walker and B.E. Strass (1948), M. Palazzoli (1951), P. Matussek (1955), L. Miliman (1960), H. Bricaire and J. Dreyfus-Moreau (1964), P. Girard, M. Landry (1966), Sahleanu and coworkers (1966). Other authors insist over the high frequency and the extreme polymorphism of the functional psychogenic sexual impotence (P. Roche, Rene Held), in report with the organic origin impotence.

If we also add the acknowledgement that the sexual dynamics disorders, especially of the erection, appear the most frequently during the period of full sexual activity-between thirty-forty years old-as some authors show, can be deduced the biological consequences and even social regarding the harmony of a couple. In this publication we propose to, based on the basis of data from literature and the personal casuistry, to approach this problem insisting especially over the clinical aspects, physiopathological and therapeutic. The persistence of the disorders of sexual act dynamics at a man (libido, erection, intromission, ejaculation, orgasm) totally, partially (only of some phases) or elective toward a certain partner, carry the name of the sexual impotence. The most frequent, the sexual impotence is due to the erection disorder, which can be absent, diminished, short or rare and is frequently associated with the ejaculation’s disorder (precocious, tardy or absent).

The erection disorders, of ejaculation, as well as of other phases of the sexual act can manifest solitary also. L. Miliman (1968), on a statistic of six thousand five hundred men with sexual disorders, discovered that the most constant and more characteristic element was the erection disorder: weak, rare, difficult and short. Secondly, as frequency, situated the fast ejaculation; rarely the ejaculation missed and more rarely was absent the libido.

With an appreciable frequency, in sixty four percent of the cases have been associated both disorders-of erection and of ejaculation. From our observations we noticed, also, a frequent association of these two major disorders. The classification of the sexual dynamics disorders is difficult. Some authors describe them isolated, others together, classifying them according to their functional origin or organic.

No classification is perfect; therefore, we will adopt two classifications-a semiological one and an etiopathogenical one-which complete each other.

    The semiological classification

The semiological classification, according to the presence of the symptom, of the sexual dynamics disorder, helps us establishing the
