Chapter 1 - About Wills
A will is a declaration made by a testator, the person making the will. In its legal form, it means that the person simply states what he wants to take effect upon his or her dead. Simply put, it is the last wishes of a person once they have passed on.
The old adage when there's a will, there's a way
is something which really applies in this context. Applied to will making, it seems to pave the way for a person's property to be distributed according to their wishes and a simple instruction to others as well.
This book is a guide for simpletons who wish to understand what Wills are. If you are someone who is considering having a will (which everyone should have) this guide gives you the basic information you need. It doesn't cover your local legislation, however. This is general information for someone wanting to know more about will writing.
