Foreword
You can follow the relocation advice in this book with your eyes shut for years to come because it is an evergreen book, the material will be just as relevant in five years as in fifty. You might be contemplating upgrading your career by relocating abroad or introducing life-changes by moving to a different city. Perhaps you want to change locations to forget about tough times and make a new start. Relocate Smart is your first successful landing. This book applies to each and every one of you because the culture behind it is every person is entitled to live the best possible life at the place they desire the most. In all of Lydia’s work, success always depends on three dynamics, health, love, and money. She purposefully classifies these three principles by importance. Every time you are tempted to separate these three, the others will suffer and you will be disrupting a critical life balance. The advice this book offers is one-of-a kind and guaranteed to apply to people from all walks of life and cultures. This information is well-planned and reliable to all of us and I find this book to have the quality of trust and dependability that you encounter when you meet Lydia.
It is up to you to relocate or to relocate smart! I always appreciate how Lydia can address a large audience without getting too culture specific in her advice while still communicating globally applicable information. Her work is trusted by a spectrum of people ranging from college students looking for the right place to begin constructing their dreams, to advanced professionals seeking growth and corporations that relocate staff by the hundreds every year. Even more so, Lydia has an amazing culture and a unique way to work with people while they feel like her guests. She also knows how to reach to your deepest thoughts, aspirations, and hesitations and offer an answer to all of them. Is it because she is so educated? Perhaps, yes. Yet, as the years go by, I see how gifted Lydia is in streaming knowledge and providing the precious service of helping others live fuller lives. Relocate Smart helps you reach your goals and acquire the necessary skills while learning balances and mastering your own strengths to make choices focused on the results you wish to achieve. Yes, this is a book for people determined to make the most out of their relocation.
I periodically ask her how she pulls this through. She once explained to me that it is due to extensive knowledge of mobility, money, law, travel, well-being, and different cultures which makes her advice golden. She is quite a leader—dynamic, responsible, and sensitive. She admits how she really cares for the people she works with, telling me she has been in those shoes herself, in the best and the worst of times, and understands that great knowledge and information is gold. In Relocate Smart, you are in front of grounded approaches to relocation and the quality and advice in Relocate Smart is amazing. She really under promises and over delivers.
Self-help books can refer you to local businesses and services sometimes not available if you are relocating from the area or country this book was written from, thus restricting the audience and the solutions. Lydia’s articles, publications, business, and books never do that, do you know why? Because she has a very wide perspective of relocation and she is a very cosmopolitan person who understands that everyone is not in the same shoes. In this book, she uncovers how she pushes it through with the least effort and the maximum results. And what do I mean push through? You are about to discover. You will never forget this book, it is life-changing and its formulas are designed to endure. Wait till you discover the secret formula to successful relocation. What is this book based on? Personal and professional experience, hard research work and dealing with numbers, information and feedback of one year of hard leg and brain work to bring to all of us, top quality advice and information.
In July 1998, I actually hired Lydia to work for me at the University of Arizona. Working with Lydia really changed my life. She had come from another country, landed at a prestigious university, had managed to get the best lodging, close to campus, at a price she negotiated, was making straight A’s, went through college entirely on scholarships, did a double-bachelors, master’s degrees, a PhD, worked, saved and invested, and got to visit the best places. She always manages to be ahead of what is happening around the world and knows how to transform this knowledge so that others benefit. I went through a time when I relocated quite a bit and changed jobs, lost a lot of money, finally got out of a bad relationship, and wanted to disappear from the world. Lydia always knew how to find me. At the time she lived in Switzerland and I was in San Francisco; every time she found me, there was this magical timing where the advice she gave me would help solve a major life problem. She is very intuitive about the needs and the moments solutions need to reach you. She is unexplainably intuitive about information trends and the best timing to communicate and fructify this information into useful and easy to use material.
By letting her experiences and global knowledge fill your understanding, your life will instantly feel lighter both physically and emotionally. She says Travel Light in life and this has stayed with me for years. She taught me that much of what we do not achieve and realize in this life is due to weights, physical, perceptive, imaginary, and illusional. On the other hand, all we do achieve is when we really focus on our goals, acknowledge our strengths and neutralise our weaknesses. When you lay down this book, 90 percent of your friends, family, and colleagues will think you lost it imagining that you can make so much for yourself by relocating knowing some obstacles can show up.
You might feel like you are swimming against a current. At the same time, you will also find others, like Lydia, who fear nothing and keep moving. She is so simple and close to people. Sometimes it feels like she sets global trends, which is not surprising; she worked in research, politics, diplomacy, tourism, relocation business, real estate business, and at a stunning 35 years old, she advises senior and key people around the globe. She decided to democratise her knowledge for the reasons she explains in her introduction. She values education and values even more practicality and implementation. Start your engines and go for a life-ride. I will find all of you at the end of this book. We all have the ability to obtain new ideas and new things and live in new places and make the best of our lives! Study and if need be, restudy this book carefully, it is a Bank Account Changer!
Yours,
Tiffany Jacobs

Relocate Smart: Moving Right is a book with a strong culture of quality advice with attainable practical results. It is available directly in many formats at www.relocatesmart.CO. My business provides quality consultancy on the subject of Relocation, in collaboration with the best and most communicative experts with a constant focus on the balance of health, love, and money. This is because success in any aspect of life stands on these three legs. My commitment to all of you is to preserve this culture and create evergreen materials with universal values. I also strive hard on a daily basis to give you high quality and impactful work, sorting through plenty of hype, while keeping the work accessible to everyone.
It has been a life-challenge for me to simplify the way I communicate with others while still communicating complex thoughts that can address many life scenarios and give all of you the best life-results. It is so easy for me to present my writings so that only certain social classes can read and understand, some refer to this as knowledgeable. I am a firm, very firm supporter of education and knowledge must reach people in the most gentle, learnable and agreeable language. I want to inspire you to claim your life more than impressing you. Helping others achieve great life-results has to come with the comfort that it is ok not to know as much
