      The medicine of the future will be energy medicine, and chemical medicine will be a subset of medicine as a whole. Probably 80 percent of medicine will be energy medicine, and 20 percent chemical medicine.

      Chapter 1 - Secrets, tips, tricks and observations gleaned from Ye Olde Energy Worker’s personal Almanack.

      (What makes them secrets is not that they’re kept from anyone, it’s that no-one’s talking about them.)

      Energy Work is Access, not Process.

      What does that mean?

      Well, what I mean by access, not process, is that there’s something one does - a method or protocol that is followed that most of the time creates a wavelength of healing energy - a Process. Like Polarity, Healing Touch, Chi Kung, Acupuncture, Yoga, Shiatsu. These are traditions and techniques that are meritorious to the extreme and very valuable. Equally valuable is the ability to tune directly into, to go right to a frequency range to effect healing - an Access. A hugely winning combination is to take one’s Process - what you Do - and add direct access to the healing frequency to it. Add the ability to dial directly into it, then the variables that often enter when one is doing treatments, whether on self or others are minimized or disappear completely.

      What do I mean by ‘variables’? Well:

      Whether it ‘comes on’ or not.

      How long it takes to come on.

      How much personal cost is accrued in turning it on and delivering it.

      How many clients can be seen in a day.

      How many clients areattractedas a result of being able to build a sufficient magnetic charge and not dissipating it all in treatment sessions - hanging on to some for oneself and one’s outreach.

      What I’m saying again in another way here is that Energywork is an And - not an Or.

      When you add Access to Process - when having been attuned to certain energies fuels your particular favorite methodology - everything is easier. Everything!

      Clients come more readily,

      reach levels of equipoise sooner,

      respond more deeply to treatments.

      Drain on the practitioner is negligible.

      So many proponents of various healing traditions old and new carry themselves in such a way that implies, or some even say outright, that theirs is THE way, or the BEST way. I believe Energywork is a terrific way, an easier way, but not the only way. I think someone is missing the boat by not adding it to their personal growth and professional tool chest—but they’ll still get where they’re going, it’ll just take somewhat longer.

      It’s like the difference in getting online with dial-up or broadband. When it became available and affordable in my community, you can bet I jumped right on! I can’t imagine going back, or if I had to, would mourn what I had lost.

      I feel the same about trying to do treatment work or self-development without the ‘broadband’ access of energy attunements.

      On my observations:

      It’s apparent at this point that I am a woman with strong feelings and certain convictions about energy work. I have opinions. They’re based on thousands of sessions with people, but they’re still opinions—I wouldn’t claim that they’re an objective, double-blind scientific study. Then there’s the element of magnetic attraction. The following is true for me and due to magnetic attraction likely true for those I’ve ministered to. It may not necessarily be true for you. But it’s likely that the following opinions hold some merit for you, because - again due to the magnificent principle of magnetic attraction - you are reading this book.

      For empaths who feel their clients' feelings and pains.

      Empathy is a gift, used wisely. Used incorrectly, it can feel like a curse. In my opinion, that incorrect use comes from too much of the personal I involvement in the act of dispensing energy. Too much ego, in other words, or a flawed concept that the dispenser of the flow is actually doing the work. Like those taking credit for quenching thirst instead of recognizing it was merely conveying the water that actually quenched the thirst.

      We use a very simple technique to sidestep the immersion in client’s feelings and symptoms. First, see or imagine your etheric double - which would look like you only all outlined in light. Have that double take one full step backwards away from the energy ‘transaction’ you are involved in with
