Introduction
What is more romantic than a spa tub ringed with softly lit candles or candles on the fireplace, glowing brightly over your meal? Candles have long been associated with love and romance. They make beautiful gifts for just about anyone and, when scented, they offer you an aroma that brings out the best in people. When there’s a storm and the lights go out, candles make for a peaceful environment as you wait out the storm.

This guide will, of necessity, start with the premise that you don’t know anything about candle making and will show you how to make candles of increasing complexity so you can make just about any type of candle, including dipped candles or tapers, sand candles and pillar candles.
There are actually many different types of candles you’ll be able to make after reading this guide. These include candles of many different shapes, sizes and candle making techniques. Let’s look at the various types of candles you’ll be able to make after reading this guide.
