About this ebook
Every Day Astrology is a textbook for the novice and professional astrologer. To use this information you need a accurate horoscope or Natal Chart erected.
The twelve Earth houses or sectors in the natal chart, are aspects that represent the more mundane or material prospects concerning life on Earth. However, it is often the mundane things that prompt us to change the most and to grow spiritually. This occurs mainly because we often notice the material world in a conscious state of mind. Therefore, the effects of the twelve houses are the most visible and easiest to recognize through astrology.
Knowledge of the 12 houses is important, for it provides us with a sense of guidance, or provides a material foundation. It also indicates the quality of life one chooses to live in. However, we should never take the material world to serious. Remember, it is only one fourth of the energy humans exist within. The material world is constantly changing, just like the energies that control our planet.

INTRODUCTION
Everyday Astrology of the Twelve Earth Houses
The twelve Earth houses or sectors in the natal chart are aspects that represent the more mundane and material prospects concerning life on Earth. However, it is often the mundane things that prompt us to change the most, and to grow spiritually. This occurs mainly because we often notice the material world in a conscious state of mind. Therefore, the effects of the twelve houses are the most visible and easiest to recognize through astrology. Knowledge of the twelve houses is important, for it provides us with a sense of guidance, or a foundation. It also indicates the quality of life one chooses to live in. However, we should never take the material world too serious. Remember, it is only one fourth of the energy humans exist within. The material world is constantly changing, just like the energies that control our planet.
We need to always remember that we have four bodies of energy. The soul body equals the fire element. The material body equals the element of earth and the physical body. The element of air, equals the mental-spiritual body. The element of water equals the emotional body, or motivator of humanity. Knowing how many elements we have in each house can provide a much clearer picture of what we do naturally. Therefore it helps to answer two of the biggest questions of humanity. Those questions are, why am I here and what am I suppose to be doing? Astrology teaches that each house represents certain aspects of physical life. However, it is also part of the mental, emotional and spiritual communication within the higher self.
You could easily say that all we think we create on the physical level is but a denser form of spiritual energy or thought materialized.
Example: the first earth house governs our personality, facial features, first seven years of life, new beginnings etc. The second house governs personal love, materialization, finances, appetites etc. The third house influences friends, messages, communication ability, short journeys etc. Each planet appears in the houses and zodiac signs of everyone’s natal chart. Where the planets, signs and houses are positioned at birth, will determine how much success, or friction one will experience. When we combine the information of the eleven planet positions at the time of birth, and with the twelve houses in the natal chart; the astrologer can clearly the blueprint for us as individuals. We can then see a truer picture of what nature created us to be naturally.
Each combination of energy within us will eventually manifest within our physical world. Some aspects are positive and naturally harmonious. Other combinations will have to be recognized and manipulated to work for us as individuals. Remember there are no evil aspects, only those we do not consciously recognize. Information obtained from the positions of the twelve earth houses provides insight into matters pertaining to health, personal love, finances, long or short journeys, intelligence, communication ability, love compatibilities, job skills hidden enemies, sexual preferences and countless other interpretations. How the planets and zodiac signs align with the twelve Earth houses at birth, determines many natural aspects of the natal chart. The more we study the different aspects, the truer the picture of life becomes.
By understanding all combinations of the natal chart, we define the meaning of life within our own true nature. Therefore, we learn to cooperate with nature and lead a more harmonious and abundant life. When we teach astrology classes to new students, I always try to impress upon them the importance of recognizing the effect of energy. Everything in the universe is energy, what separates energy is the speed in which it vibrates. A peace of steel is a mass of consolidated energy but it is still energy.
The planets in our solar system are massive transmitters of spiritual energy; their orbital speed determines greatly what frequency of energy will be hurled outward into our solar system. The human brain is like a receiver that responds to these radio types of energies. We teach that the planets are the spiritual vibrations. The zodiac and stars are the mental energy and the twelve earth houses are the physical manifestation of those energies. Thus the universal order of the life force unfolds from spirit to mind, and then from feelings to material manifestation.
As we study the twelve earth houses, we be-come aware of the need to understand all these vibrations in order to complete our spiritual evolution. One short life is hardly enough to experience all of these feelings, emotions and mental inclinations. Life is karma, whatever spirit we live in, is exactly what we get in return. The next time you are angry with someone, we suggest you forgive him or her as you would forgive yourself. This is important for we are all bound together through universal spirit. Whenever we take the time to express ourselves spiritually, we start to understand our natural place on Earth.
Then and only then will we grow and flourish in peace and goodness. Thus becoming co-creators with the grand alchemist. When we know we grow, when we abuse or ignore truth we suffer. It is certain that we are spiritual-physical beings and that we need each other to complete our spiritual mission. Alone, we are nothing but self-expression. United we are whole and like the perfect circle of the twelve spirits of human existence.
Planetary and Zodiac Sign Influences of The 12 Earth Houses
Description of the First House
The first house relates to your personality, natural disposition, self-interest and our outlook on other people in general. It is like our picture window, that others see us as an individual person or personality. The first house plays a large part in the way we communicate. It also has influence in our general appearance, constitution and self-expression of the individual. The physical parts of the human body governed by the first house are the head, face and front part of the brain. This is the house of new ideas and youthful expressions. The first house is the sector in a chart that will find power and new life expression when we resort to the child within us. All planets in the first house will have some effects on the personality, self-image and the way we present ourselves.
Example: Pluto in the first house will be a deluge of active, youthful, fiery energy; the personality will exhibit a childish enthusiasm. This would be a sign of a magnetic, powerful and contagious personality. However, if the signs Capricorn, Taurus or Scorpio would be on the ascendant, a much more serious personality would result. The deeper one probes into their natal chart, the clearer our thought and actions are understood. This in turn allows us to become conscious of our gifts and shortcomings. Until we clearly see what causes us to be who and what we are to nature, we are just guessing.
We must study well the many varying aspects of the natal chart. The aspects of the Earth houses are just what they imply, they deal with the physical expression of our world.
Knowing the house and planet combinations of your birth, helps us to manipulate and refine ourselves, on the physical, mental and spiritual plane. The First House is the natural ruler of the solar sign Aries. It is the house of originality, new ideas and new beginnings, also the first seven years of life, which by the way affects us the most throughout life. Some say the soul’s purpose is somewhat motivated here. This house marks the beginning of all new enterprises and careers. Aspects of this house will indicate how much willpower the native will possess.
The first house is often an indicator of how much determination and competitive spirit one will possesses. Pluto governs the first house and influences such things as regeneration, creative power and constant mental activity. Example: Any fire sign, or fire planet positioned in the house will add great energy and charisma to the personality. These people will use their personality to inspire and to lead others. Any earth sign, or planet on the ascendant, or first house will often be limiting and can cause one to have a calculated, reserved personality, these people will seem over serious to others. They will use their personality to achieve and materialize personal goals.
Any air planet or sign on the ascendant will often cause one to communicate intellectually and logically. Although to others they may seem cold or aloft, or lacking emotional expression. Any water planet of sign on the ascendant will cause the personality to seem unpredictable, but often expressed with great feeling and sensitivity. If the water sign is Cancer, these people will have multiple personalities. To study the ascendant one must study the sun sign they have on the ascendant, but you must view it as the personality, not the soul or conscious mind.
Planets in The First House
Sun or Leo in the First House
This aspect strengthens the constitution adding vitality and a youthful, playful behavior. This combination often tends to advancement and good will to others. It bestows a sense of self pride and honor. Their animated outburst of drama is often humorous and witty like a cat. Talk about drama, this personality is the essence of drama. It gives one the ability to be a natural leader. It can cause the most timid people to swing right into action when it is necessary. However, these natives often chose to go their separate ways. You could say that from a very early age they start to express their hopes for their husband or wife. Yours is truly a humorous personality, display it often and others will love you for it. These people often have a kind or encouraging word for others.
People with this sign or planet on the ascendant are usually popular and affectionate. If you search the child within, you’ll easily find it. The Sun is much at home in the first house of Aries for this is a powerful double fire aspect. Any fire aspect in the first house will align the elements together in the chart. Example: Aries, Leo and Sagittarius are all fire signs, therefore all other elements in the preceding houses will be in elemental alignment throughout the chart.
This alignment of houses makes for a harmonious and prosperous life style. Example: If either fire sign is on the ascendant, than the next house of Taurus would be occupied by an earth sign. Thus the elements of each house aligns to its own energy. Any earth sign in the second house will naturally be at
