Chapter 1
THUD!
a loud sound coming from a room in an old house.
Oohhh…. That hurts……Hmph… It’s already morning?
said by a young woman under her bed covers when she fell on the floor from her bed.
She saw the ray light of light that was sipping from her windows’ curtain and saw a bird flew across the blue sky. Yap, it is… and yes I’m awake,
answering her own question as she rose from her bed and stretched her arms and jumped a few times when her feet landed on the floor.
Gosh I’m still sleepy, I think a sweet coffee would do the trick,
she said when she started to head out to the kitchen still feeling half asleep.
Are you alright Mommy Selena?
said by a young boy with his bright blue colored eyes that would let anyone say yes to his request while eating a bowl of cereals on the table.
Yes, Baby Shiloh,
Selena answered.
We heard a loud thud a while ago so we thought maybe something was wrong but seeing how ugly you look today. I guess you woke up on the wrong side of the bed,
said by a very beautiful woman who was in her early 30s, as tall as 5 feet 5 inches and with a ‘sexy’ figure as she offered Selena a cup of coffee.
Shiloh is the son of Selena’s sister named Marissa Cari or simply called Cari, whom she delivered when she was around 28 years old. Cari didn’t mentioned the name of the father and why she decided to come back home from New York City after working for about five years in a known establishment. She just came home with her luggage one morning and said that she wants to stay at their home again. Their parents asked why and Cari answered that she is pregnant. They were shocked to know the truth and nonetheless accepted her back. They do what to know other details but never asked about it again until Cari was ready to tell them what really happened. They eventually forgotten all about it when Shiloh was born and all their worry changed into happiness.
Shiloh calls Selena ‘Mommy’ because Shiloh had a hard time distinguishing who’s who when he was young and since Selena mostly took care of Shiloh while Cari went to work and thus it became a habit.
Oh that… Well I turned and was tossed out of my bed,
Selena answered with a smile. She then tried to fix her hair that gone wild when she forgot to comb it before she went down the kitchen.
Stop calling me ‘Baby’ Mommy Selena. I am not a baby anymore I am already 7 years old and I am strong now as Grandpa said yesterday
, Shiloh said proudly.
What you’re not a baby anymore, then where is my baby Shiloh then so that we will go shopping later and buy some ice cream?
Selena said as she pinched both of Shiloh’s cheeks, brushed the top of his head and tickled his tummy.
Stop it Mommy Selena, Ha Ha Ha Ha! Okay, okay I’m your baby
Shiloh said in surrender.
Selena, Shiloh is eating. You should stop your playing for a while,
said Cari as she was cooking eggs and bacon for their breakfast.
Yes dear sister. Here Baby Shiloh eat your cereals,
she said as she scooped a spoonful of cereals of the bowl and offered it to him which Shiloh gladly accepted.
Mommy, are you going to work later?
Shiloh asked to Cari.
Yes, Shiloh so you are going to stay with Mommy Selena and play with Grandpa,
she answered.
Okay,
as he continued to eat.
Where’s dad?
Selena asked Cari. Their 68 years old father named Raphael Morgan who was now retired and enjoying his pension.
I think he is in his room still sleeping,
Cari answered.
Nope mommy, I saw Grandpa outside tending the flowers,
said Shiloh.
Oh, okay… Go call Grandpa once you’re done, okay?
Selena asked.
Sure,
said Shiloh as he hurriedly finished his cereals and headed out to the backyard.
Selena took the empty bowl and placed it on the sink as Cari prepared the table for them to eat.
Selena thought of how lucky they have Shiloh after their mother died of
