This book of poetic rhymes deals with some of the beliefs, experiences, feelings, and observations of a Black man, of the Islamic faith, in the United States of America. In it he makes recommendations to President Barack Obama, and to White and Black America. It touches on issues ranging from poverty, to freedom, to racial, economic inequality, rap, music, politics, religion, and other issues. Some misspelled words are added intentionally for effect.

Floyd Brown II is a graduate of Benedict College with a bachelors degree in business administration.He is a veteran Army infantry paratrooper.He has an associate degree in business management from Midlands Technical College.

A Blackman in America
These are real words expressing the true feelings and beliefs of an actual Blackman living in Columbia, SC in 2012. This poetry reflects his experiences his dreams and aspirations and his faith. These words are based on real life experience in this time of change and transformation from this human being who is sharing the light.
How do they expect me to pay this bill they’ve sent unless they gimme a job. I have a business called World Improvement and I would like to offer my bids. I feel like I’m being ignored I am going to have to come out with a t-shirt with the word ig.
Why did God send Abraham and The Children of Israel and even Jesus Christ to Egypt it seems that they went to receive blessings from there and protection. Maybe that’s why God placed me in America.

Call me Gene because that’s my name and I was born a free man in this free land and I am a Native American because I was born in the United States of America to be more specific a South Carolinian, a capital, a Columbian. The first son of my dad so he named me the second, Cause He's a King in this land and in the Motherland descendants of the Nathans. I have children who are American Indian Athabasca to be more specific my full name is Eugene and that means good genes
and I was told this by Father Michael of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church downtown in Columbia that Eugene was the name of a saint. Well I believe in The One True God but I
