    Preface

As a man of God and seeing what is happening around us, I realize that we are living in one of the most interesting time of earth’s history. Many of us thought that Barack Obama became president because of his big speech or method of change.

Prophecy has shown us that there is going to come a time of trouble that we are not going to be able to escape. History is about to repeat itself in a lot of ways. From the Dark Ages to the Great Depression and so many other things that have happened on this planet in time past.

I was inspired to write this book by watching the U.S. falling in a recession and by following the campaign of the 2008 election. There I was watching everything unfolding, John McCain for the Republic and Barack Obama for the Democrat. Then John McCain chooses Sarah Palin for Voice President While John McCain and Sarah Palin were campaigning they found a guy by the name of Joe the Plumber About a month after Obama won the election I was watching CNN, only to hear that Joe the Plumber had written a book.

It was at that point that I got my first idea about writing this book. There is so much to say about Barack Obama as our President and how all of this tied into prophecy that it took me about three and a half years to write this book. At one point I didn’t think I could do it all by myself but God has given me the strength to finish it. This book is written on the things that are present and things to come. So who are we going choose to lead us through these rough times ahead? And does it matter?

    How did Barack Obama

    Become our President?

History has given us some wonderful things to remember, but sometimes there are experiences we don’t want to remember because they were so devastating. The Great Depression is a part of our history as it was the first time that the United States experienced something like that, where you had the stock market crash that led to the Great Depression.

On the 4th of July 1776 all thirteen colonies signed the Declaration of Independence and a new country was born. That was a great day for the United States, which led them to become the most powerful country on the planet. Then 2008 was another symbolic moment, as the first African American became president. That event declared that most of the racial barriers had broken down in the United States.

But how did he get there? Remember what happened in Egypt over three thousand years ago? It was a dream Pharaoh had that led to the freedom of Joseph. God used Joseph to save the people, but it was the people that saved the economy. Joseph took a little from each farmer to set aside for the famine and that saved the country in bad times. It was the people that saved the country not the government.

Obama was elected not because of a famine but because the country was in such bad shape, from high unemployment, the housing crisis, stock market at all time lows, 401(k) plans having been wiped out, two wars, with the country going through a recession and so many companies needing bailouts to stop them from going under.

This is only natural if you are on a ship and you find out that the ship is sinking and there is a small boat in the water you are going to do everything to get on that small boat. Now when all these people from this big ship came on this small boat with their luggage then the small boat began to sink also. Mr. Obama is that small boat with so many issues and so many problems to be fixed in the three years before he starts thinking about campaigning again for re-election.

It was not going to be an easy task to save all these people from drowning. You could use a similar method as Joseph used to save the Egyptians from starving. Now you are not going to take their money from their regular savings nor their 401(k); neither are you going to increase their taxes.

    Fixing the deficit

What can the president do? I am not telling Mr. Obama how to run the country, but if I were in his shoes I would not be campaigning for re-election. I would be campaigning to bring down the deficit and create jobs. If you could bring down the deficit it will give everybody confidence. Mr. Obama, if you tell every American to join with you to attack this deadly virus that is the deficit that is growing out of control, I would be the first one to donate from the sale of my book toward the deficit. We need to attack a deficit like this aggressively. Every American would like the deficit to come down. But how many would sell a car that they are not using or auction something in their house – it might be a jar or a vase or a coin – and say this is going towards the deficit?

The United States is one of the richest country in the world. Mr. President, we need to bring down the deficit but you are the one to come up with a plan. If each baseball team, each basketball team, each hockey team, and each football team could play two or three games a year and donate those proceeds to the deficit. If the many movie stars, rap artists, singers, businesses, oil companies, cable TV stations – and the list goes on and on – could donate some funds towards fixing the problem it would help tremendously.

In his famous inauguration speech in 1961, President John F. Kennedy said, Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country. Must the President bear the burden alone? We all need do something to get the country out of these tough times. After the election I know that the United States Congress will be back in a tug of war with each other trying to raise the debt ceiling. So what is the United States doing to pay off the deficit?

I remember when there was a period of starvation in Africa some of America’s artistes did a song called We Are the World and they donated the money to the African people. Now the United States needs help and we are not doing anything. Shame on the American people! Every single American can help. So Mr. Obama, you need to show the people the way for them to do this together. This is one of the many ways jobs are going to be created and people are going to regain their confidence. You cannot be telling the people that ten years from now you are going to get the deficit down by four trillion dollars when in four years the country will be spending three to four trillion dollars. Let all Americans join hand in hand and attack this crisis, this virus, this deficit that is attacking all Americans and cut it down.

Yes We Can bring down the deficit. Open three accounts – one for Republicans, one for Democrats and one for Independents – and call them 'deficit.' We need to get back the American dream, where kids could be going to school knowing that there is a job out there for them. It is so nice to have a job and know that you are going to buy a house in the community that you want to live in. Not to mention that dream car that you would love to drive. We are living in a time where it seems like all these dreams are a thing of the past. It seems like we are only going to be able to go to bed and dream about all these things but in this life we will not be able to accomplish them. Will the American people give up some of what they have for a better tomorrow – no matter how small it is? Are the American people going to say: some of us have no jobs, the stock market is falling, the 401(k) is wiped out, we are worrying about a next recession and so many houses are in foreclosure? Are we going to be worrying about our situation or are we going to try to solve the problem?

The Lord said It is more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:35) and again in Ecclesiastes (11:1), Cast your bread upon the waters; for thou shalt find it after many days. If we think we are in a bad situation, there is a story in the Bible about four lepers finding themselves shut out from their friends and families in a great famine in Samaria because they were unclean and here is how God used them:

(2 Kings 7:3) "And there were four leprous men at the entering in of the gate: and they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die?

(7:4) "If we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit still here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die.

(7:5) "And they rose up in the twilight, to go unto the camp of the Syrians: and when they were come to the uttermost part of the camp of Syria, behold, there was no man there.

(7:6) "For the LORD had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us.

(7:7) "Wherefore they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses, and their asses, even the camp as it was, and fled for their lives.

(7:8) "And when these lepers came to the uttermost part of the camp, they went into one tent, and did eat and drink, and carried thence silver, and gold, and raiment, and went and hid it; and came again, and entered into another tent, and carried thence also, and went and hid it.

(7:9) "Then they said one to another, We do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king's household.

(7:10) "So they came and called unto the porter of the city: and they told them, saying, We came to the camp of the Syrians, and, behold, there was no man there, neither voice of man, but horses tied, and asses tied, and the tents as they were.

(7:11) "And he called the porters; and they told it to the king's house within.

(7:12) "And the king arose in the night, and said unto his servants, I will now shew you what the Syrians have done to us. They know that we be hungry; therefore are they gone out of the camp to hide themselves in the field, saying, When they come out of the city, we shall catch them alive, and get into the city.

    (7:13) "And
