About this ebook
Caffeine addict, Freya Emerson, often finds her heart hammering away when she's at her local coffeehouse. But it's not the java giving her the jitters - it's the hottie she knows only by his drink of choice: Espresso Macchiato. When Espresso Macchiato starts passing her flirty notes, Freya's thrilled at first, but as the quirky courtship progresses, her preconceptions step in to complicate things.
A note from the author:
Espresso Macchiato is a little different from what you might expect. Rather than being a precursor to the story, in fact the cute meet IS the story. I wanted to write a short, slice-of-life kind of tale about magic of beginnings - when anything is possible. I know the ambiguous ending isn't for everyone, but it's my hope that for those readers who don't mind the indefinite conclusion, it will send your imaginations soaring.

Espresso Macchiato was in the house.
I was just a Google search away from brain death after a two-hour quest for potentials. Potential local shops, that is. I needed to find exactly the right kind of establishment to cross-promote a fab new custom boot company I represented.
Stretching out my back muscles, I took off my glasses and rubbed my weary eyes back into focus. And when I looked up, there he was. Leaning casually against the drinks counter. Espresso Macchiato: in the flesh.
As any city-dwelling creature of habit can probably relate, there are certain people we come into contact with on a fairly regular basis, not including shopkeepers, baristas, waiters and such. For me it was the impeccably dressed old lady with the poodle, the guy with long dark hair who meditated in Alta Plaza Park, the woman who seemed always to be having deep conversations on her cell as she wheeled her baby around, and finally the guy who always ordered espresso macchiatos from our neighborhood coffeehouse.
He was seriously sexy in
