PART ONE
What Blackjack Is About
I remember as a very young child the fun it was to play with any kind of cards. The adventure of not knowing what cards the other players held or how they would compare to mine, plus the excitement of winning by having the best hand or holding the last card was right up my alley. I was an adventurous child and I took to card games in the same no holds barred way as I did everything else.
This love of card games has persisted throughout my adulthood and I have spent some time developing the quality of my play, especially when it comes to blackjack. Now I have the opportunity to share some of the things I’ve learned along the way with my readers.
Blackjack has never lost ground as a popular casino game, and in fact there are more people playing all the time. Time was when blackjack was left to the men folk as their pastime while women pulled the handle on slot machines. Nowadays there are about as many women playing the game as there are men. And women seem to be equally as good at it. After all it’s just luck and numbers and who can’t understand that? Wish that it were that simple! There is much to know and much practice needed to become a good blackjack player.
No matter whether you are a male or female there is always something more that you can learn and experience about the game. Maybe you only play blackjack at home or with neighbors or maybe you are a regular at card
