    Synopsis

Two years have passed since Tony and Carmela have separated, and Tony has moved into Livia's home. As the family is about to start dinner at Janice and Bobby's home (they are now married),-the release of many mob associates that were convicted during the 1980s is covered on the news. The parolees include:

Michele Feech La Manna, a respected and feared capo of the now dissolved La Manna crew.

Tony Blundetto, Tony's cousin, who was an associate in the Soprano crew.

    Angelo Garepe, Carmine's former consigliere.

Phil Leotardo, a captain in the New York family.

Tony is very happy about his cousin's release and is planning an over-the-top party when he gets home.

The following evening, while AJ is in the backyard, he discovers a large American Black Bear and calls for his mother for help. Carmela manages to drive the bear away and calls the police. The next day, the bear comes back and leaves shortly after. Tony then goes over to his former residence in order to express his concern for the welfare of Carmela and AJ. Carmela then tells Tony that he buys AJ too many gifts since he feels guilty about the separation. Tony then sends Benny Fazio and Little Paulie Germani to guard the backyard in case the bear comes back.

Meanwhile, Christopher and Paulie have a fight when Christopher recounts the Pine Barrens story in front of the capos, framing Paulie as the cause of the debacle. Paulie calls Christopher Tony's little favorite which offends Chris and they almost come to blows. Later, at comare night, Christopher forces Paulie to pay for dinner. At Satriale's the following morning, Paulie demands that Christopher return the money or begin to pay points, later, when in Atlantic City, telling everyone to choose whatever they want in order to inflate the bill for Christopher. Paulie also sends over a very expensive bottle of wine to a table of unattractive women. The bill comes to $1184 and is given to Christopher, who leaves the waiter a $16.00 tip. Paulie and Christopher continue to bicker in the parking lot, until the waiter comes out to call them fucking assholes, and Christopher throws a brick at him, hard, which hits him. The waiter then begins to convulse on the ground until Paulie shoots him. Paulie grabs the money as they both leave; the next day, Paulie and Christopher decide to bury the hatchet and make amends.

While Tony has lunch with Johnny Sack, Carmine and the newly released Angelo Garepe, Carmine has a stroke and is taken to St. Vincent's Hospital. Little Carmine hears the news and books a flight on the next plane out of Miami. At the hospital, Johnny reminds Tony that he still has not forgotten about their sabotaged previous arrangement last year, which could have averted the current situation.

After watching The Prince of Tides, Tony begins thinking of Dr.
