About this ebook
The Secrets of the Cross Trilogy by acclaimed author Elizabeth Musser, already a European bestseller, concludes with the American debut of Two Destinies, a story of forbidden love, passionate faith, danger, and intrigue. Now 1994, France faces unrest and rising poverty while neighbor Algeria is in the midst of a blood civil war. Risléne Namani, a French woman born to Algerian parents, converts to Christianity and falls in love with Eric Hoffmann, a Christian, committing the unpardonable sin in the eyes of her Muslim family. Eric must find a way to rescue her—from a forced marriage in Algeria, or even death. A powerful, relevant tale of social struggle, heartache, cultural conflict, and faith put to the ultimate test.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Two Destinies is a wonderful ending to Elizabeth Musser’s Secrets of The Cross Trilogy. Set two decades after the second book ends, this novel brings full circle the story of freedom. More than one character is set free by faith and perseverance from the tyranny of life and religion. This book can be read as a standalone, but I heartily recommend that you read all the books in the series in sequential order.Musser has created some wonderful characters in this series, many of which make appearances in Two Destinies. I loved the female characters of Rislene and Ophelie. Both exhibited an uncompromising faith in God, yet their doubts and questions made them very real. Sam is a lost character who finds forgiveness and purpose in his renewed faith. The setting of the book, France and Algeria in 1994, in many ways parallels what is happening in our world today — terrorism, civil war, homelessness and immigration problems. And of course, Musser again delivers a beautifully written book. I listened to the audio version of Two Destinies. The narrator was excellent and created a very enjoyable experience.Highly Recommended.Great for Book Clubs.
