      Dear Parents,

      D o you remember the first thing that happens to Jesus after coming up out of the baptismal waters? Just as His ministry begins, He is led into the wilderness . . . a very uncomfortable place. There He is tempted. His ministry and his credentials as the Son of God are challenged. If He sins now, all will be lost. How does Jesus respond?

      By knowing and applying God’s Word! Preparedness is the answer. Christ demonstrates its importance, and He is able to stand the tempter’s test. How? By knowing and applying God’s Word! That’s what the Hide & Seek Devotional is all about: knowing and applying God’s Word! The same method Christ used in the wilderness, your child will use on the playground!
