Reviews for God's Little Princess Devotional Bible
1 rating1 review
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Sheila Walsh has created a sweet book that gives young girls examples of strong women who reflect good characteristics. It helps them to learn how to grow up to be a beautiful princess. The many different sections highlight ways for girls to develop and express their true nature. The book contains beauty secrets, scriptures, stories, royal traits, role playing, and tips on how to show love and have charming manners. Inside and out this is a colorful and attractively presented book. This book makes a perfect gift for any little girl. It focuses on ages 4-7. Reading it with the little girls in your life is a lovely way to share a special moment each day. The pictures really captured my 5 year old daughter's interest and the stories were simple enough for her to enjoy. I am happy that she now has another perspective on the usual princess theme that focuses exclusively on external beauty.

A special note for you...
Dear Princess,
You hold in your hands stories from the most wonderful book in the world. Within these pages you will discover amazing things you need to know about your Father God and how much he loves you.
Perhaps when you look in the mirror you don’t feel like a Princess, but you are a precious daughter of the King of kings.
When I was a little girl I didn’t always like being me. I would look at other girls and think that they were prettier than I or smarter than I. Sometimes that made me sad or feel a little lonely, until my mom read these verses to me and helped me to understand how special I am to God:
"You made my whole being.
You formed me in my mother’s body.
I praise you because you made me in an amazing and wonderful way.
What you have done is wonderful.
I know this very well."
PSALM 139:13-14
That is great news!
God thinks you are so wonderful, and he would know, for he made you. I pray that you will remember, on your good days and on your not so good days, that God will never, ever stop loving you.
You are God’s little Princess!!
Your big sister,
Sheila

9781400308798_INT_0014_0039781400308798_INT_0015_001The Lord God said, It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is right for him.
. . .The man gave names to all the tame animals, to the birds in the sky and to all the wild animals. But Adam did not find a helper that was right for him. So the Lord God caused the man to sleep very deeply. While the man was asleep, God took one of the ribs from the man’s body. Then God closed the man’s skin at the place where he took the rib. The Lord God used the rib from the man to make a woman. Then the Lord brought the woman to the man.
And the man said, "Now, this is someone whose bones came from my bones. Her body came from my body.
I will call her ‘woman,’ because she was taken out of man."
. . .The man named his wife Eve. This is because she is the mother of everyone who ever lived.

Eve, Queen of God’s World
9781400308798_INT_0018_001Imagine what it would be like to be the only girl in the world. Now picture you, God, and Adam—the only boy on the face of the earth. Together, you and Adam are told by God to rule over this incredible creation he has just made.
Eve didn’t have to imagine. It really happened to her. She was God’s first princess in the Garden of Eden.
It was her job to help Adam take care of the animals, plants, and children that God would one day give them.
Of course, Adam and Eve messed up royally when they listened to Satan instead of God. But God didn’t give up on his kids. Instead, he sent his Son Jesus to pay the penalty for
