- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I was surprised by the depth of coverage I found in this book. There were some great discussions about The Art of Negotiating, Upselling, Missing out on revenue opportunities, and most of all, I liked the discussion about asking for the order. It doesn’t take a genius to know that you have to ask for the order, yet many sales people are reluctant to do so. Reading this book may give them more of a sense of importance about this crucial point of the selling process. If you want the order, ask for it.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Peter Heredia has become one of my favorite Authors in this area of sales, sales training and sales motivation. He doesn’t mince words, or fill the pages with a lot of “fluff”. This book is no exception. Even if I don’t think I will learn anything new, after I read his books I always realize that I learned something new, and/or a new way of looking at things. In this case, "The secrets of superior selling skills" gave me some great ideas about overcoming objections. That has always been a troubling area, how to overcome an objection without sounding too high-pressure. Peter Heredia did a great job at laying out a plan to have your “ammo” ready to fight the objections.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The secrets of superior selling skills" is really a must-read for both sales veterans and for brand new sales people. Everything you really need to know to be successful in sales is covered, really. I even learned a lot about the art of negotiating from this book. It is for sure a worthwhile read. You can spend more on thicker books, but you won’t get better facts and techniques than what is contained in these pages.
