- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Lucy has always had a crush on bad-boy Owen, but she keeps busy with her book store. Owen comes back to town after a medical retirement from the police force in another city.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I actually love this book more than the first one. And I love all the knitting reference.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Absolutely love Owen, Lucy and their story!
E. C.'s quotes that open each chapter are wonderful; being a knitter myself, I find them so true. - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This book was ok. I was looking for something light to read between nonfiction books and it suited that purpose.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5An enjoyable way to spend a few hours - that's all it took me, because the writing flowed along for me. I rather liked the S.S., and the mother and best friend characters.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I enjoyed this book but felt like you were thrown into it. The characters weren't as built up as in the first book, Caleb and Abigail, and it would have helped you develop a liking towards them. I will wait for the next one to come out and read it because the knitting references are enjoyable.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I hate to say it, but I did not like this book nearly as much as the first Cypress Hollow Yarn book. I really didn't connect with the characters, Lucy especially, and sort of felt like the entire thing was too contrived. There was just too much passion without much else, and at times I felt like I was reading a cheap romance with some knitting thrown in for effect. I love fluffy, knitting chick-lit, but this book was just so beyond implausible it was laughable in certain parts. Also, the profanity throughout the book was distracting and unnecessary. It's too bad because I had such high hopes for this series based on the first wonderful book.
