    Say what you will about the guy (I'm talking to you Bourdain) but I love Emeril and I love his food. This cookbook is a little easier and left my kitchen a lot less messy than his usual fare.

    A workmanlike cookbook from Emeril, Sizzling Skillets offers a number of easy, one-pot preparations. Emeril makes use of the stovetop, oven and slow-cooker to create tasty main dishes such as Mushroom and Fall Squash Barley Risotto and Creamy White Beans with Smoked Turkey. Not all of these are weeknight meals, since some of them take several hours on the stovetop or in the oven.
