I was number 11 of 14 children born to them. My father died when I was ten and at 15 years of age I moved to California to live with my sister and finished high school there. I married for the first time while attending San Jose State in 1972, to which two children were born. After that marriage ended I moved to Wisconsin only to return to California in 1979. I married for the second time in the early eighties and that one ended badly with one child of promise. My career with the County of Santa Clara started in 1979 as a temporary file clerk and became permanent shortly after that. My positions advanced and began to blossom after 1990 when I became a Corrections Officer then Gun bearing Officer, then on to Information Systems Technician which was the most enjoyable yet challenging position that I held.
I was married for the third time in 1995 to a Deacon of the Church and this is where the book was born.
Of the many couples walking into the Church on Sunday mornings I saw what it seemed to be a dark cloud hanging over their heads of at least 30 percent of the women. These were the women the Lord said, “They didn’t do what I told them to do.”
Just before I married for the third time, I noticed the fallen condition of women and wondered why, because the men looked fine.
At a marriage counseling session with my third husband the Lord told me why. “They didn’t do what I told them to do.” He said. Soon after He told me He took it from my remembrance and my life became a living testimony to that very fact. After my divorce in 2005 I began to learn what it took to be obedient, free from oppression and live a life pleasing to the Lord and it started with the making of this book.
Just as I was ready to be released the first book the Lord gave me “The Recompense” to look forward to.
