Serban, MA, BCC, is vice president of mission integration and spiritual care at Providence Regional Medical Center, Everett, Washington, supporting a team of twenty-one board certified chaplains and music thanatologists. He has been in the field of spiritual care, mission, and ethics for more than twenty-two years. He holds his master's degree in theology and pastoral ministry in health care from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is a board certified chaplain with the National Association of Catholic Chaplains. He serves as national volunteer lead for the Spiritual Care Response Team of the
American Red Cross in Washington, DC, and liaison of the National Association of Catholic Chaplains to the American Red Cross. Chaplain Serban has taught and spoken abroad on disaster response, ethics, and spiritual care.
