Born and reared near the Dublin Docklands Frank left primary school at 14. He has worked in a variety of jobs in and around the docks, Flour mills printers, van boy, messenger boy, docks, electrica...view moreBorn and reared near the Dublin Docklands Frank left primary school at 14. He has worked in a variety of jobs in and around the docks, Flour mills printers, van boy, messenger boy, docks, electrical company' before emigrating to England at 17. While there he worked in a steel and iron foundry in Slough. He also enrolled in Slough college of further education (electrical theory). He returned to Dublin to work in the electrical trade and managed a couple of companies before starting his own business. Frank studied marketing for two years in Dublin and then did a number of courses in economics. He became Chairman of the Electrical Industries Federation of Ireland (1980s) and later started an Architectural salvage and antiques company.
Frank is a passionate sports person and has a great love for soccer, both as a player and supporter. He had the privilege of becoming Chairman of a Premier League of Ireland club 'Saint Patrick's Athletic AFC.
Today Frank enjoys writing about the Dublin Docks - Dubliners - old Dublin language and sayings and Dublin City.view less
