Artem Chapai was born 1981 in Kolomiya.

He studies at the SBU Academy, drops out during the ‘Ukraine without Kuchma’ period, but then graduates with the Bachelor degree from Mogilyanka.
During his college years he works as a loader, courier, editor of a children’s magazine, translates movies for "Inter", works as a reporter for the MFA.
As fate would have it, Artem ends up homeless in America: he lives in the no-go area of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, participates in the riots in Mexico, builds a log "in a paw" in Guatemala, digs trenches in Nicaragua.
His first book Venture is published in 2008. His second book is the result of several months of travel around Ukraine. /// Артем ЧАПАЙ народився 1981 року в Коломиї.
Навчався в академії СБУ, кинув навчання під час «України без Кучми».
Закінчив бакалаврат Могилянки. Під час навчання працював вантажником, кур’єром, редактором дитячого журналу, перекладав фільми на «Інтері», був репортером при МЗС.
Півтора року «бомжував» Америкою: жив у «чорному» кварталі в Новому Орлеані після урагану Катріна, брав участь у заворушеннях у Мексиці, будував зруби «в лапу» в Гватемалі, копав котлован у Нікарагуа.
Перша книжка «Авантюра» вийшла 2008 року. Друга книжка стала результатом кількамісячної подорожі Україною.view less
