Having been born to Nigerian parents in Columbus, Ohio, and subsequently being raised in Nigeria during his childhood and adolescent years, Ugo brings a cross-cultural perspective to his work and writings.
Ugo holds a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Warren Wilson College, a master of science in counseling psychology from Tarleton State University, and he is currently a licensed professional counselor with the state of Arizona. Ugo has also served with the United States Army where he served one tour of duty in Afghanistan.
Ugo has worked in the mental health field since 2001, and as of the publication date of this book, he has subsequently earned over a decade of experience in the field. Ugo also owns a private outpatient practice in Tucson, Arizona, where he also resides with his wife and two children.view less
