In this prequel to the bestselling phenomenon They Both Die at the End, two new strangers spend a life-changing day together after Death-Cast first makes their fateful calls. #1 New York Times bestseller!
It’s the night before Death-Cast goes live, and there’s one question on everyone’s mind: Can Death-Cast actually predict when someone will die, or is it just an elaborate hoax?
Orion Pagan has waited years for someone to tell him that he’s going to die. He has a serious heart condition, and he signed up for Death-Cast so he could know what’s coming.
Valentino Prince is restarting his life in New York. He has a long and promising future ahead and he only registered for Death-Cast after his twin sister nearly died in a car accident.
Orion and Valentino cross paths in Times Square and immediately feel a deep connection. But when the first round of End Day calls goes out, their lives are changed forever—one of them receives a call, and the other doesn’t. Though neither boy is certain how the day will end, they know they want to spend it together…even if that means their goodbye will be heartbreaking.
Told with acclaimed author Adam Silvera’s signature bittersweet touch, this story celebrates the lasting impact that people have on each other and proves that life is always worth living to the fullest.

- Valutazione: 5 su 5 stelle5/5Amazing book it is a light but dealer than expected… everything is about perspective and this book might help you to see it. Live live live
- Valutazione: 4 su 5 stelle4/5Amazing. Crying too much right now. Hope to leave a longer review later.
- Valutazione: 4 su 5 stelle4/5I am surprised to say, I think I liked this book better than the first (they both die at the end). The voice actors were monotone at times, but the writing made up for it. I can't wait to read more by Adam Silvera and see the TV series for the first book.
- Valutazione: 5 su 5 stelle5/5Eu recomendo muito esse livro. Ele nos faz pensar o quanto precisamos valorizar cada segundo. É uma lição de vida.
- Valutazione: 5 su 5 stelle5/5This book had me all in my emotions. I was hoping it would live up to the first book, and boy did it deliver. I laughed. I cried. I yelled into the void while wearing my noise cancelling headphones (listening to the audiobook). This book had everything I needed and more. Thank you Adam Silvera for making my cold heart feel again.
- Valutazione: 5 su 5 stelle5/5I read this book cover to cover today, and that's not happened in years. The amount of queer representation made me cry, the storyline made me cry, the characters made me cry, and the whole thing made me cry. It left me guessing what was going to happen because of how good the story was, and every surprise in the plot was amazing. I'm going to go finish sobbing now.
- Valutazione: 5 su 5 stelle5/5lived up to the high expectations i held after reading TBDATE, and it definitely helped that Orions VA conveyed the emotions set up by The Writer oh so well. the callbacks to the first book were like finding a $20 bill in the pocket of an old jacket.
4/5 book
3/5 Voice Acting (Valentino dosent change his tone much, or maybe at all no matter what’s happening in the story) - Valutazione: 2 su 5 stelle2/5I’m sorry but nothing interesting happened. Valentino’s voice actor choosing to read every single chapter in this heartfelt, almost-about-to-cry voice really irked me on a whole new level. If I never have to hear someone say “everything is mad hazy” like it’s the most poetic thing and like they’re moving themselves to tears ever again I’m good. Also the clownery of saying that and hating on the word selfie literally in the next sentence.
This was not for me - Valutazione: 5 su 5 stelle5/5Enthralling and heartbreaking. This author allowed you to get to know the characters as people without pandering to us because some of them are gay. This is another if his beautifully written and well-read books.
- Valutazione: 5 su 5 stelle5/5Wonderful! An amazing experience and a great story ?. Adam Silvera is one of my favorite authors!
- Valutazione: 5 su 5 stelle5/5???? Why must Adam Silvera hurt me like this. This is the story of Valentino and Orion. They met at times quare on the first night death-cast announced the first Deckers. One of the boys received a call while the other one did not. Eventhough they had just met they became inseparable and decided to spend the last day living life to the fullest and I enjoyed every single moment with them. There were laughs, there were tears. My emotions where all over the place. I also loved how the author brought Rufus and Mateo into this story giving us a bit more of a background on them. I definitely recommend this gem.
- Valutazione: 5 su 5 stelle5/5So lovely and a perfect pair for the first one. I love the characterization and the world building. Just really great.
- Valutazione: 5 su 5 stelle5/5This story ripped my heart out and made me ugly cry, but I would read it over and over again. Just to relive the short, yet beautiful love story of Valentino and Orion.
- Valutazione: 5 su 5 stelle5/5This book was so beautiful and so well written. It gave me chills multiple times. I'm sure I'll read/ listen to it again sometime.

- Valutazione: 3 su 5 stelle3/5It was pretty good, but I feel like it wasn’t really needed. I read the first book and the only burning question I had was over how death-cast knows who will die and that wasn’t answered in this book. It was still good, but without something more substantial like the true origins of death cast, it’s just an ok book.
