About this audiobook
With the quick tap of a finger we can access an endless stream of addictive information—sports scores, breaking news, political opinions, streaming TV, the latest Instagram posts, and much more. Accessing information has never been easier—but acquiring wisdom is increasingly difficult.
In an effort to help us consume a more balanced, healthy diet of information, Brett McCracken has created the “Wisdom Pyramid.” Inspired by the food pyramid model, the Wisdom Pyramid challenges us to increase our intake of enduring, trustworthy sources (like the Bible) while moderating our consumption of less reliable sources (like the Internet and social media). At a time when so much of our daily media diet is toxic and making us spiritually sick, The Wisdom Pyramid suggests that we become healthy and wise when we reorient our lives around God—the foundation of truth and the eternal source of wisdom.
Brett McCracken
Brett McCracken is a senior editor for the Gospel Coalition and the author of Uncomfortable; Hipster Christianity; and Gray Matters. He lives with his family in Southern California, where he serves as an elder at Southlands Church.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Very worthwhile! Gave me a lot to think about and very well grounded.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Well done book! In a fast-paced world with a lot of digital noise, this book has helped slowly shift my perspective to God and to see God and more of Him in my day to day. To appreciate Him, His creation, and the rest provided to us that we often ignore (and are taught/encouraged to) .

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A very thoughtful and brief treatment of what is an increasing reality in the lives of individuals, families and communities throughout our complex digital age. McCracken approaches the subject of pursuing wisdom in the Information Age from the perspective of a Christ follower and pastor with concern for his flock. He builds his argument for a “wisdom pyramid” thoughtfully, scripturally and intellectually using a variety of sources to support his argument.
This is definitely a book I would recommend to every adult, parent, teen attempting to understand how to pursue Godly wisdom in this age of information coming at us with breakneck speed.
I would also recommend it for the skeptic who is curious about the claims of Christianity and their relevance in our modern age.1 person found this helpful
