The Stoicism has just a few main teachings, which then helps keep things simple along the way. Stoicism is going to set out to help us remember how unpredictable the world can be. It helps us remember how brief a moment our life is. This book helps me a lot.

This exercise is designed to remind you about how small you really are, and how little importance most things are. In other words, to give you a sense of the bigger picture. It’s quite simple, you use your imagination to try and relate yourself to the whole world and beyond.

Every region in our brains can be strengthened through practice. If our brains are really good at remembering negative things that happen, it can be useful to strengthen the regions of the brain responsible for remembering positive things.

This is a great book if you have been listening about Stoicism here and there, and want to have a good idea of how to adapt the ideas to the modern age. It also gives you some background and ideas for understanding the stoics before just diving in and listening them.

This is a fantastic introduction to Stoicism for the modern world. The author is extremely clear and in my case, it was almost as if he was anticipating the critical ideas that popped in my mind when reading which was convenient for me.
