I listened to the audio book and just couldn’t get into it. 2 hrs later and I’m 22% through it and bored to tears. It was slow, so slow. Add to that the humor felt forced. There were so many things I did not like about the main character Kinsley .
    * She was so freaking full of herself. I mean she says she’s date her, she sees nothing wrong with herself (oh except for the fact she’s awkward and can’t get a date…) Josh tells her he talked her up to one of her potential dates and her reply was, I don’t know how my online profile was incredible.
    * Plus she was such a hypocrite. Her online profile picture is her holding a book so you can’t see her face. Everyone tells her she needs to change it, that people need to see it. Her response, the should like me for my personality not how I look. The 1st guy they look at who sends her a request (or whatever it’s called) online and she says (I think it was her 1st or 2nd question) how does he look. Wow. Not 2 seconds ago your going off on how your picture shouldn’t be important. Yeah, no.
    * I get being a bookworm. Hell that’s what drew me to the book to begin with. However there is a difference between being a bookworm and being obsessed with books. She was beyond obsessed. She says she wants a guy who cooks, cleans, read, is great in bed. You know, like al her book boyfriends. What books are these???? Geez ? If these are the only hero’s she’s reading about she’s not as well versed in books as she waxes on about. Then this is where I was just done with the book. She flat out says that whoever she dates will always be her SECOND LOVE, coming after her books. WHO WANTS TO BE ANYONES SECOND LOVE???? what kind of person is this who expects mister perfect but isn’t ever going to put him first. Done. I want nothing more to do with this hypocrite.
