- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5It was a fun book, hence the name, to read. I loved the shift of focus that fun times, peaceful times, exciting times and more are a glimpse at what Eden would have been like. And chasing those moments, really sitting in them, and enjoying them is a gift, a gift to receive Eden in a way here in this broken world. This book definitely helped me desire to explore hobbies, return to the French horn!!, and dig into what is fun. Also, the great reminder to in moments that don’t seem great, well you can have fun, it’s all about your mindset in that moment. Because everything is only as fun as you make it. Annie F Downs is amazing! She’s like my new best book friend. Definitely recommend!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The audiobook was a nice companion on a long car ride, and I'm happy I listened to it, but it wasn't a piece that "changed my life" in any way. Enjoyable read with a few good & valuable takeaways!
That book felt very "upbeat"! It's partly due to Annie's voice, but also her view on life and her openness. In the book, Annie comments on her life and struggles during COVID, which, of course, we can all relate to, at this point. - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5There are some good pointers on how to have fun and what fun is but the book is otherwise bland.
