About this audiobook

'Super-romantic and full of festive spirit. I loved it!' Mandy Baggot

Could a post-it note really lead to love...?

Sadie doesn't have time for finding love. She's too busy as PA for famous artist Damian Banks. When she's not arranging exhibitions, she's organising his dry cleaning or dumping his never-ending stream of girlfriends.

But when she strikes up an unusual friendship with her desk share buddy, she finds a confidante and a new potential love interest. Problem is, they've never actually met...

With Christmas just around the corner, can Sadie put herself first for a change and find what she's been looking for all along?

The brand new romantic comedy from top 10 bestseller Portia MacIntosh. Perfect for fans of Sophie Ranald, Mhairi McFarlane and Zara Stoneley.

Portia MacIntosh

Portia MacIntosh is the bestselling author of over 20 romantic comedy novels. From disastrous dates to destination weddings, Portia’s romcoms are the perfect way to escape from day to day life, visiting sunny beaches in the summer and snowy villages at Christmas time. Whether it’s southern Italy or the Yorkshire coast, Portia’s stories are the holiday you’re craving, conveniently packed in between the pages. Formerly a journalist, Portia has left the city, swapping the music biz for the moors, to live the (not so) quiet life with her husband and her dog in Yorkshire.

it was so cute but somehow realistic just like all the others. Tbh, thought it was going to about the post it guy (and in a way it was) tricked me good. Christmas spirit and chemistry was perfect. Loved how honest they both were at the end.

The conflict of the story was shallow. The build up between the two characters was veeeeeery slow. All in all it was a Ok story

A bit generic: there's nothing in there that would surprise you if it's not your first book of the genre. You basically know how the story is going to go from the start. A few dialogues and plot elements are especially annoying because you're basically just waiting for another rom-com trope to play out (seriously, if you played rom-com-bingo, this would be the book for you).

Other than that: a surprising amount of plotholes for this type of story... Some explanations for the characters' behaviour later on just straight up don't align with what we've seen, and any character development happens either 1. before the start of the book or 2. between the end of the book and the epilogue, which felt really disappointing to me.

The resolution is a bit lackluster as well, it's all wrapped up really quickly and the characters' actions don't really have any consequences :/

That being said, the story is okay, and the narrator does a great job. Just don't go in looking to be surprised or especially pulled in by deep characters or a surprising plot.

Not finished with the book yet BUT 8 di have to agree with other reviews that the conflict was so ridiculous. She's lying to him the entire 2 weeks she's supposed to be giving a two weeks notice and when the boss tells her he knows and pretended to be a regular co worker to talk to her she rants that she feels betrayed and breaks things off. REALLY this conflict is unrelatable because to people lying to each other and one decides to get pissed about it makes no sense. They both lying so uh the story got bad right there when it was soo good till that crappy unrelatable conflict
