      The book was in a really cool setting and very descriptive. It went at a good pace and kept me interested. The ending was... yikes!

      The usual twisty, turny, captivating work of JTE with the bonus of an incredible setting... verbally painted so well you can almost touch it.

      5 stars! This audiobook had me fully engulfed from start to finish. So much so that I am going to try other books by this author. Enjoy!

      So in general I really like JT Ellison, but this was not my favourite. Writing was good, story was decent (although the other commenter suggesting this was a re-telling of Rebecca took away some of the mystery) but I genuinely disliked all of the characters, and their wedding obsession just made me roll my eyes every time. Maybe they're just not people I would like in the real world, but yeah. Just not a single likeable person.

      Endless cliches and the purplest prose...a denouement that you can see coming from a mile away...awkward gaps in logic and narrative... and yet evocative and suspenseful enough that I couldn't stop listening!

      I enjoyed it, I think it's the author's attempt to retell "Rebecca" in the 21st century.

      This book was such a well crafted murder mystery. A definite 5 star read.
