What happens when your love life becomes the talk of the town?
As birthdays go, this year’s for radio producer Everly Dean hit rock-bottom.
Worse than the “tonsillectomy birthday.” Worse than the birthday her parents decided to split (the first time). But catching your boyfriend cheating on you with his assistant?
Even clichés sting.
But this is Everly’s year! She won’t let her anxiety hold her back. She’ll pitch her podcast idea to her boss.
There’s just one problem.
Her boss, Chris, is very cute. (Of course). Also, he's extremely distant (which means he hates her, right? Or is that the anxiety talking)?
And, Stacey the DJ didn’t mute the mic during Everly’s rant about Simon the Snake (syn: Cheating Ex).
That’s three problems.
Suddenly, people are lining up to date her, Bachelorette-style, fans are voting (Reminder: never leave house again), and her interest in Chris might be a two-way street. It’s a lot for a woman who could gold medal in people-avoidance. She’s going to have to fake it ‘till she makes it to get through all of this.
Perhaps she’ll make a list: The Ten Rules for Faking It.
Because sometimes making the rules can find you happiness when you least expect it.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was super cute in the beginning, and I know that nobody's perfect, and the main character's "flaws" are what they need to overcome, but I got really tired and honestly annoyed at the characters towards maybe 3/5 through. Still an enjoyable read though!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Went on a bit too long and the constant inner dialog of Everly was exhausting by the end. A good HEA at least.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I should have paid attention to the text “a Hallmark movie in book form “.
Because that is a good description. There’s a reason I don’t watch those, and couldn’t finish this book. It’s to sweet, often preachy, plot is a bit forced, and at least one character is extremely unrealistic.
If you love Hallmark films, go for this. If not.. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Loved that the story was so real with how some people struggle with anxiety, and having people around who know how help you through it.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Awesome story! Sweet and identifiable. Believable characters. Nothing raunchy. Will be looking for more from this author!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I was able to relate to Everly so much when it comes to social anxiety. At times it felt like I was really in her shoes dealing with all those awkward situations! Overall, a great book for boosting self-esteem not only in romantic relationships and careers, but in a relationship with yourself (self-love).
