About this audiobook
When a body is hauled from the River Tyne, Sarah Tucker heads to Newcastle for a closer look. She identifies the dead woman as private detective Zoë Boehm, but putting a name to the corpse only raises further questions. Did Zoë kill herself, or did one of her old cases come back to haunt her? Coincidence is an excuse that soon appears pretty unconvincing. Sarah can’t leave until she’s found the answers to her questions, however dangerous they might turn out to be.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Sarah is as flawed a heroine as Sophocles’ Antigone, and fortunately her fate isn’t so tragic though I’d prefer Antigone’s self-righteous over Sarah’s. Still Mick Herron spins a tale of malice as spine-chilling as any Stephen King novel but with more ordinary human goodness. The audio version curdles the blood before it administers CPR.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5It wasn't easy in the first 3 books, but here I had to give up: I just can't stand Sara anymore.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It starts with a postcard and a story in newspaper and takes us down the memory lane to unravel the true identity of the man not being in a beat with humanity. Fascinating. Great dialogues.
