Rated: C+Always like Piper's perspective on things. Simple read on why bad things can happen -- whether allowed by God or sent by God.> The object of hope is future. The experience of hope is present.> For believers, God says: "Live or die, you will be with me.">The biblical view of faith is not a leap in the dark.

Reflecting About God’s Agency Brief and well based reflection about God’s agency in our world. John Piper gives his interpretation of the coronavirus outbreak and its meaning in light of the Scriptures. Must read, specially by those who believe in God’s word and in his mastering of history.

It’s astonishing that such baseless fear mongering, hatred and misanthropy such as what is contained in the pages of this book, is given a platform by publishers. John Pipers words break my heart in the worst way possible. He extols a god who hates humanity - sends plagues murder and death on them - for the sake of “secret” purposes and the bolstering of his own ego.

I admire Pipers desire for God, but I’m heartbroken at the monster he worships. The words in this book are a lie. God loves you. He did not send the coronavirus.

Hopeless audiobook. If God is so love his creation and human, why Jesus Christ is not coming to save humanity. Don't say I don't have faith in God, but God does not have Love and faith in humanity. Why after we die only see God and not NOW.? Why we are so foolish to believe that God coming to save human in time of crisis and Covid 19 pandemic. A lot of bullish on faith in God.

As the disciples of Jesus said in John 6:60 “this is very hard to understand. How can anyone accept it?” This short book is full of hard truth, in my opinion. But it also gives me great peace to understand a possible reason for the global pandemic we are suffering from. This book has a strong Christian worldview, which is not popular and certainly not at thisCurrent time.

A book created for such a time as this. Thank you so much for the encouragement and reminding us of the hope we cling to.
