About this audiobook
The #1 New York Times bestselling author of It Happened One Summer and Hook, Line, and Sinker brings the heat in this rom-com about two enemies who team up to flip a house because their chemistry will either burn the place down or ignite a passion that neither can ignore...
Hair, makeup, clothing, decor... everything in Bethany Castle's world is organized, planned, and styled to perfection. Which is why the homes she designs for her family's real estate business are the most coveted in town. The only thing not perfect? Her track record with men. She's on a dating hiatus and after helping her friends achieve their dreams, Bethany finally has time to focus on her own: flip a house, from framework to furnishings, all by herself. Except her older brother runs the company and refuses to take her seriously.
When a television producer gets wind of the Castle sibling rivalry, they’re invited on Flip Off, a competition to see who can do the best renovation. Bethany wants bragging rights, but she needs a crew and the only member of her brother's construction team willing to jump ship is Wes Daniels, the new guy in town. His Texas drawl and handsome face got under Bethany's skin on day one, and the last thing she needs is some cocky young cowboy in her way.
As the race to renovate heats up, Wes and Bethany are forced into close quarters, trading barbs and biting banter as they remodel the ugliest house on the block. It's a labor of love, hate, and everything in between, and soon sparks are flying. But Bethany's perfectly structured life is one kiss away from going up in smoke and she knows falling for a guy like Wes would be a flipping disaster.
“Her voice feels as fresh and contemporary as a Netflix rom-com.” —Entertainment Weekly

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I think the middle one was still my favorite of the series, but this is a fun escapist series. They were very chatty during the sex scenes in a way that made me borderline uncomfortable, though, and I kept being a bit distracted by it. I loved the little niece, and I liked that we saw that even people who might seem perfect, aren't.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5A fun read but I couldn't find myself that emotionally invested in the characters or their story

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Tessa Bailey has did it again. From fix her up to love her lose her and finally tools of engagement. It’s a great trilogy and it’s from a person who is from New Jersey. It felt like watching a movie I loved everything about it. It was so good.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Not that spicy… it’s a rom com with some spice, not a spicy book

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Too cheesy for my liking. Not my favorite book by the author.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Loved this story! It was definitely my favorite of all the books in the series. I feel like the story was extremely well-rounded. I fell in love with Wes, Bethany, and Laura! These characters were so relatable and easy to become invested in.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It was a perfectly imperfect story. I enjoyed Bethany and Wes’ journey.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I related so much to Bethany- people pleasing perfectionist. And Wes…. Wes is HOT.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I loved the book but the the narration voice for Wes took me out of it so many times. I wish they would just have a man do the male pov instead of having 1 person do all of it. Especially in this case the Texas accent was not it.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Came together slowly , then all at once. Enjoyed it so much and it was a beautiful end to an amazing series ❤️
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Excellent book loved it highly recommend & makes you laugh
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I think I enjoyed this one most in the series. I really liked how Bethany and Wes didn't like each other, or pretended to each other that they didn't. This led to funny exchanges between the two. When Bethany put his phone number in her phone with the name "Send to Voice-mail," I laughed out loud.
The male domineering wasn't as strong in this one, or maybe I glossed over it in this one based on having read it in the first two.
I enjoyed watching Wes with his niece and their sweet exchanges. I also appreciated Bethany's struggle with perfectionism and acceptance.
Overall, I enjoyed the series but wouldn't recommend to anyone who doesn't like a dominating male smut read. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I liked the development and how it ended. There was a moment that made me cry so much and it wasn’t between the two main characters.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This whole series is a lot of fun. Great on audio.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Always need a cute little rom com moment as a pallet cleanser! The whole sexy cocky cowboy thing really just gets me right in the lady bits YUM!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This one was a total 5! I absolutely love these characters & the series...I am automatically re-listening to the series. The chemistry is palpable amongst all the characters...
Yet, there's just something about Bethany and Wes's that makes them my favorite. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Cute story! Easy to listen to with a great narrator.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This one was by far my favorite of the series... so well written. Loved the story line and all the characters except for slade lol
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5This was quite poorly written and predictable. Very basic and utterly uninteresting.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Tools of Engagement is my first Tessa Bailey book and it won't be the last. It is a funny and steamy read.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great book! Love this family. All the characters had depth and are relatable.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Read the entire series it was awesome very meaningful books.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Far cry from the other book by Tessa Bailey - It happened one summer which had everything. The dirty talk really made me cringe and I felt like she could’ve made us connect more with the secondary characters especially the relationship between Wes and Lara. And it was abit too instalove for me. Just wasn’t my cup of tea this one
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5What a perfect ending to a beautiful series,
Honestly I have been waiting for this enemies to lovers story ever it was teased in the 2nd book…. And I was not disappointed.
Now off to hunt a new series but Tessa
