About this audiobook

From USA Today bestselling author Jenny Holiday comes a modern fairy tale just in time for Christmas about a tough New Yorker from the other side of the tracks who falls for a princess from the other side of the world.

Leo Ricci's already handling all he can, between taking care of his little sister Gabby, driving a cab, and being the super of his apartment building in the Bronx. But when Gabby spots a ""princess"" in a gown outside of the UN trying to hail a cab, she begs her brother to stop and help. Before he knows it, he's got a real-life damsel in distress in the backseat of his car.

Princess Marie of Eldovia shouldn't be hailing a cab, or even be out and about. But after her mother’s death, her father has plunged into a devastating depression and the fate of her small Alpine country has fallen on Marie’s shoulders. She’s taken aback by the gruff but devastatingly handsome driver who shows her more kindness than she’s seen in a long time.

When Marie asks Leo to be her driver for the rest of her trip, he agrees, thinking he’ll squire a rich miss around for a while and make more money than he has in months. He doesn’t expect to like and start longing for the unpredictable Marie. And when he and Gabby end up in Eldovia for Christmas, he discovers the princess who is all wrong for him is also the woman who is his perfect match.

Truly loved this one! Holiday reads aren't my go to, I actually struggle with them. But this was a pleasant surprised.

    Loved the narrators as well.

A children’s story but with explicit sex made worse by a one-note narration. Narrator Charlotte North especially weak with men’s voices.

It was cute, I adored the male lead (Leo) the most. It would have been a fun audiobook either way a male narrator as well as the female narrator.

Leo's cab is technically off-duty, since he's driving his little sister home from school, but the lady on the curb seems desperate. When it turns out that the lady is a princess whose car service failed to turn up before a key meeting, he gets her where she needs to go, and in return, she hires him to be her driver for the weekend. The money she offers him will be a godsend: since their parents' death, Leo has been raising his little sister while working multiple jobs just to get by. What he doesn't expect is to strike up a friendship with Princess Marie, who then invites Leo and Gabby back to her country for Christmas. Leo feels out of place at the palace in Eldovia, but he can't deny certain other feelings, as well. There's no way a princess would be allowed to have a serious relationship with a New York City cab driver -- but maybe their relationship doesn't have to be all that serious? It's like a Hallmark movie, but spicier. If you're looking for a fun holiday romance, this is one -- and it's the start of a series, to boot. I probably won't read on right away, but I'll file this author away in my mind as a future source for holiday-themed fluff.

Enjoyable light romance. I liked the sequel, which I read first even more. Wit, sweetness, and an interesting setting made for a nice read.

I really liked how the story was self aware enough to comment on how meeting a princess of a small European country in New York was just like the premise of a Hallmark movie. But, the book is far from anything they would air. Gruff, Bronx cab driver Leo swears like a sailor while paired with a seemingly sweet princess. Leo is charged with the care of his young sister, Gabby, who is enraptured with Princess Marie. After the story moves to Eldovia for Christmas, Mr. Benz comes through as a fairy godfather, as Leo gets tuxedoed up for the Cocoa Ball, hoping to win Marie's heart.

I enjoyed this Christmas romance. I received this for free and I voluntarily chose to review it. This is not for the under 18 readers and I've given it a 4* rating. Lots of twists and turns in this and a lot of characters to keep sorted included a dog. This takes place in New York, with a part time taxi driver for the hero, who's more than a little rough around the edges. It was fun and serious at the same time. The heroine, is a princess from a little known country in Europe, making a speech at the UN for her country. It goes from there. There is sexual content and unfiltered speaking on the hero's part. Could have read this without some of that but a interesting story for this Christmas season.

A regular guy and a real princess cross paths in NYC at Christmastime. There is a lot of snow and a lot of hot chocolate. It's just like a sexy Hallmark movie. I loved it!!
