About this audiobook

Abigail is just in Moose Creek, Montana for the summer to temporarily care for her great aunt. But a tender-hearted cowboy beckons her to stay.

Abigail Jones intends to spend just one summer in middle-of-nowhere Montana with her Aunt Lucy. Time away from her job is just what Abigail needs to reassess her life. The slow pace has her breathing deeply for the first time in years. And the majestic scenery encourages her to get reacquainted with herself . . . and God.

What she didn't count on was the handsome widowed cowboy who owns the ranch where her aunt lives. When the rancher loses his daughter's nanny, Abigail decides to lend a hand for the summer.

Wade Ryan can't help being attracted to Abigail. But he's given up everything to protect his daughter, and he's not about to risk it all on a pretty face.

Under Abigail's care, Wade's home and daughter thrive. And with Wade's touch, Abigail's heart feels at home at last. But Abigail knows this elusive rancher is hiding something. Will her own secrets separate her from the cowboy who finally captured her heart?

First book in what appears to be a great series! And takes place in Montana! I love the "realness" of the characters.

Loved this book. Was a great read and had a few twists but balanced a good Christian message, romance and adventure all day in one

Abigail Jones loves her job as an investigative reporter in Chicago. But when stress combines with a pre-existing health condition, Abigail's mom (who is also her boss) forces her to take a three-month leave and go to Montana to visit with her great-aunt. Abigail is less than thrilled to be sent to the back of beyond but then she meets Maddy, the adorable eleven year-old who lives at the big house on the ranch. Abigail ends up agreeing to be Maddy's summer nanny, which brings her into closer proximity to the very handsome Wade Ryan, Maddy's dad. But Wade's hiding secrets in his past that will have ramifications for any relationship Abigail might be interested in pursuing.Fluffy Christian romance of which I enjoyed every second. I'm finding Denise Hunter to be a very reliable Christian romance author to pick up when I'm in the mood.

This was an enjoyable story with a very good romance that leaves you feeling good after reading it and looking forward to reading more in this series. Abigail Jones is being sent to "middle-of-nowhere Montana" to look in on her Aunt Lucy and to take some time off her job for the summer. The slow pace of Montana will encourage Abigail to slow down and enjoy life a little and get a little closer to God.What Abigail wasn't anticipating was growing fond of the handsome widowed cowboy who owns the ranch where her Aunt lives. Wade Ryan has moved to Montana with his young daughter after the death of his wife. When Wade loses his nanny for the summer, Abigail decides to lend him and hand and watch over Maddy, a very likable little girl. What was fun about this story is that neither Wade nor Abigail was looking for love, but even though they both fight their feelings, love will win out in the end. Even despite secrets they both seem to be hiding from each other. I found myself cheering them on and smiling quite a bit over some of the conversations these two people had with each other. I always enjoy Denise Hunter's style of writing. If you like a good cowboy romance, then you are going to fall in love with this story.

A true cowboy is a man of faith, patriotic, loves "the land", is good to horses and dogs and tolerates cats. He adores his family and friends. He would give his life for his country and his loved ones. Upon first glance, all of these characteristics may not be readily apparent. Sometimes, cowboys hoot and holler. Sometimes, they are quiet and thoughtful. They are always worth a second look. Denise Hunter writes these characters so well, and her depictions of ranch life plant your feet right in the dust of the prairie. In "A Cowboy's Touch", Wade Ryan is a man of few words, but his feelings run deep. Abigail Jones is an investigative reporter whose boss just happens to be her mother. Concerned with Abby's workaholic tendencies and her hypertension, her mother sends her off to Moose Creek, Montana to check on her elderly Aunt Lucy. She is to spend the summer there and observe her aunt to determine is she is still mentally capable and able to live on her own without assisted care. Aunt Lucy has always been eccentric, so what's normal for her is not really "normal". Abby enjoys being reunited with her aunt, but her aunt's home is barely big enough to house the two of them and all of the dolls her aunt makes to sell in her shop. When an opportunity comes up to be the live-in nanny for her aunt's landlord, Abby takes the job. She quickly bonds with the girl in her care, Maddy, and she is soon quite captivated the quiet cowboy charm of Maddy's father, Wade. Abby's investigative instincts tell her that there is much more to Wade than a widower raising his daughter on a working ranch. When she discovers his real identity, breaking the story could be the sensational headline that will save her mother's failing magazine. However, revealing the truth will destroy the safety and security that Wade and Maddy experience living at the ranch. Their location will be exposed and their lives will be disrupted by the media and the world at large. Helping her mother will hurt two people whom Abby has come to love with all her heart--Wade and Maddy. Wade never expected to ever love and trust another woman, but having Abby in his home to care for his daughter made him long for a love to call his own. Abby didn't come to Moose Creek to hunt down Wade and make him a "paparazzi's prize". She just stumbled onto the story by accident--or was it part of a higher plan? Her reputation as the "Truthseeker" is well earned. You can run from the truth, but you can't hide from it forever. Abby's heart knows that someone will be hurt no matter what her decision about Wade's story. If she lets her mother run with the news, then the magazine and the jobs of the employees will be saved. Wade and Maddy's privacy and peace of mind will be destroyed. If she protects the man and child she has come to love, then she will let down her own mother and the people with whom she has worked for years. Hearts in hiding can never be truly happy. When all is revealed, will the healing power of love and the cleansing strength of faith bring together three hearts meant to be a family? "A Cowboy's Touch" is an involving, wonderfully romantic read. I am in love with Denise Hunter's "Big Sky Romance" series. Highly recommended!"Psalm 43:3 Send out your light and your truth; let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy hill and to your dwelling!"Review Copy Gratis Thomas Nelson Publishers

In one scene in A Cowboy’s Touch, Wade called Abigail a name not mentioned earlier in the book, Grace. I found that peculiar since Abigail’s name does not have Grace in it. This peculiarity aside, the grammar and language in A Cowboy’s Touch is faultless. Nevertheless, I felt that something was missing in it. I wish the plot was more entertaining and unique. It was just the usual thing. Maybe it’s because I was looking for a more thrilling story. But there is no harm in this book. Among all the characters, Wade is my favorite character. I like the way his character personality is realistic. I didn’t quite understand why he was sometimes portrayed as the “bad guy” in the story because how he behaved is how a real life person would! Overall, this book will make a good read for those who like clean cowboy romances (who doesn’t?).

There's a collision of wills and a fall-out, soul-searching, redemption and feeling good. The protagonist is Abigail, a Chicago born and raised woman who is sent off to check on her old and eccentric Aunt Lucy in a small Montana town. Abigail gets bored to tears and jumps on the first opportunity for something to do which is to be a companion for a motherless child whose father is a busy rancher. Abigail's hypertension is starting to abate when she discovers the magazine is going down the tubes in Chicago and she's sitting on a potentially dynamite story about hunkish rodeo star who disappeared off the face of the earth shortly after the death of his wife. Guess who she's working for?

Cowboy stories....I LOVE them! Steamy ones, and good ol' fashioned sweet, clean ones like this. Any book with a hunky cowboy in it is one that will win my heart in a heartbeat! Plus, I LOVE Denise Hunter's work. She has a knack for creating tenderly written stories filled with fun loving characters to keep her readers hooked. And, like with her others, this one hit home. This sweet story is one of her best yet. It is filled with sweet characters like Abigail and Wade, Abigail's Aunt Lucy-bless her heart, and Wade's adorable fun loving daughter Maddy. When Maddy's bike is stolen, Abigail vows to help the sweetheart find it. Then Wade, Maddy's dad, hires Abigail as a live in Nanny.....and the fireworks start. It's obvious that these two can connect....for everyone but them! I really loved watching these two grow to know each other and to fall in love. Sometimes, all it takes is a simple touch of a cowboy to see what God has planned.God's love, forgiveness and redeeming grace are strong in this 5 star novel. I loved it and I highly recommend it to all. It will leave you laughing at times, smiling at others, and just simply happy to have found another FANTASTIC Denise Hunter novel to add to your collection. Well done Denise! I can't wait for another one like this!

A Cowboy's Touch was simply a delightful tale. I enjoyed every minute of the journey. Abigail Jones was stressed and it was affecting her health. So her mother suggests that she go check on the health of her great aunt who lives in Moose Creek, Montana and at the same time take a much needed rest. There she meets Wade Ryan, a single dad in need of a nanny for the summer. Abigail is taken with Maddy (Wade's daughter) right away and agrees. She also finds herself attracted to Wade. Wade has no intention of getting involved but he sees how Maddy has bloomed since Abigail's been there and how he enjoys her company and sense of humor. Abby is finding her faith again and discovering she's not really wanting the summer to end. Abigail is keeping a secret though. When the secret finally comes out, will it drive away the one person she finally feels at home with?I REALLY liked this story. It drew me in from the beginning and held me there until the end. I loved all the characters and felt they were very well drawn. Very life-like. I thoroughly enjoyed Abigail and loved her sense-of-humor. I found myself laughing out loud in several places because of the things she said. I also loved her down-to-earth quality. Wade was an awesome hero. His sweet & tender ways could make ya swoon! The interaction between him and Abby was terrific. Maddy will easily win your heart. She won mine! This was just an all-around feel good kind of story but it also addressed the issues of guilt, finding the Lord and forgiveness. Denise Hunter does stories of the heart SO well! I really didn't want the story to end but I LOVE the ending!!!! I highly recommend A Cowboy's Touch. A thank you goes to Booksneeze for providing me with the complimentary copy for my review.

This was a thoroughly enjoyable book, one that I did not want to put down once I started reading it. Being a romance, it's no surprise how the two main characters, Wade and Abby, end up, but the events that unfold along the way were what captured my attention and held it. Abigail is a likable character, and it was interesting to see the choices she makes when she stood at the crossroad of the two things she loves most. With a guard around his heart, Wade is easily as likable, and his secrets are mysterious and had me rooting for Abigail to uncover them. This is a "Women of Faith Literature" book, so the book has a core of faith, with layers of deception and then forgiveness thrown in as underlying topics. But, it's a heartwarming story, and one that I could read over and again. Denise Hunter is a talented writer, one that cause the reader to escape into Moose Creek, Montana right along with her beloved characters. A Cowboy's Touch would appeal to any fan of the Romance genre, as well as to fans of Christian Chick-Lit, and this is one book that has left me eager for more from the author.
