About this audiobook

What do you wish for most? It's a question that Oswald, Sarah, and Millie think they know the answer to. Oswald wishes his summer wasn't so boring, Sarah wishes to be beautiful, and Millie wishes she could just disappear from the face of the earth. But in the twisted world of Five Nights at Freddy's, their hearts' deepest desires have an unexpected cost.

In this volume, horror master Scott Cawthon spins three sinister novella-length stories from different corners of his series' canon.

Listeners beware: This collection of terrifying tales is enough to unsettle even the most hardened Five Nights at Freddy's fans.

I think this book is about as well-written as the Goosebumps books, but I couldn’t help but notice that this book is horribly negative towards its teen girl protagonists. I would definitely hesitate to give these stories to girls.

The first story has a young boy protagonist and the narrative is sympathetic towards him. The last two stories have pre-teen/teen girl protagonists.

The stories are viciously judgmental towards them for wanting things many girls that age want—to be pretty and to have a boyfriend.

The punishments they face are many, many degrees more violent and extreme than the ones faced by the male protagonist. I hope as this series continues, the writers evaluate the messages they are promoting.

The stories were great. I wonder what happened to Milly. Yes, it sounded like she might have actually been decapitated, but I’d like to think that she narrowly survived it and it barely clipped the top of her hair and funtime Freddy decided to release the body afterwards only to find out he had been tricked. Also the storyteller did an amazing job and I think they should narrate more stories in the future.

I was a little torn at the start, but once you're immersed in the story it really starts to pick up.
