About this audiobook

From the author of Never Never, co-written with Colleen Hoover!

#1 New York Times bestselling author Tarryn Fisher delivers a pulse-pounding, fast-paced suspense novel that will leave you breathless—an instant bestselling thriller you won’t be able to put down!

Imagine that your husband has two other wives.

You’ve never met the other wives. None of you know each other, and because of this unconventional arrangement, you can see your husband only one day a week. But you love him so much you don’t care. Or at least that’s what you’ve told yourself.

But one day, while you’re doing laundry, you find a scrap of paper in his pocket—an appointment reminder for a woman named Hannah, and you just know it’s another of the wives.

You thought you were fine with your arrangement, but you can’t help yourself: you track her down, and, under false pretenses, you strike up a friendship. Hannah has no idea who you really are. Then Hannah starts showing up to your coffee dates with telltale bruises, and you realize she’s being abused by her husband. Who, of course, is also your husband. But you’ve never known him to be violent, ever.

Who exactly is your husband, and how far would you be willing to go to find out?

And who is his mysterious third wife?

It started off interestingly enough. But when it took the turn that was supposed to explain everything psychologically, if almost seemed like a different book. And the ending felt cheap.

    SPOILER ALERT

I hate that the hero was made to be the villain. Not a satisfying ending. High readability. Hooked immediately and highly entertaining. Made me want to stay up and finish reading, but the ending made me want to throw my phone across the room.

Wow! So unique. The plot leads you in a straightforward direction...Then a sudden twist/shift....Noticable, but not a "Big Bang"....Again the new reality seems straightforward for a while...Click Clack and another shift..."rinse and repeat". You are figuring out the mystery along with the heroine when suddenly you are down the rabbit hole with the mad hatter at the tea party. Now you are scratching your head marvelling at the presumptions you as a reader make unconsciously about a protagonist's narration of events. Unique and brilliant! I loved it.

Very unrealistic portrayal of mental illness, I recommend skipping it if you are looking for a thriller.

I could have so much better than a just a delusion. The first half was ok, the last half was awful

I guess I'm just tired of the trope of unreliable female narrators who due to unresolved trauma surrounding the home can't move past it and the male characters are still the heroes in the end. Thanks, but no.

Also not into the use of the word 'crazy' so flippantly in the book and insinuating that if you're not able-bodied you are incapable of doing things.

Okay that's it for real. Like, comment, subscribe.

Standard Tarryn Fisher. Women are conniving and crazy, men are terrible but not as terrible as the women they've driven crazy. Got it.

This audiobook was okay. First of all, anyone who agrees to a polygamist marriage has to be crazy and unfortunately that was Thursday. For most of the book, the author has you reading and believing one thing but in the end, the reality is the complete opposite. My favorite character in this book was Lauren because towards the end, she was the only friend Thursday had.

Well that was a mind f**k! Takes you on quite a psychological journey. Each time I thought I had it figured out I was wrong ….loved the guessing all the way to the end!!!! Wish it had gone one of the other directions I was guessing but it didn’t haha
The name Thursday is kind of cool! I did not know that was truly her name until like halfway through. ?☺️ I don’t ever read reviews or synopsis before I start a book so I can go in completely blind. I thought that was just the day of the week her husband chose to call her. ??? (You’ll understand when you read it)
Also side note my sons name is Seth.. hopefully not like this Seth!!
It started out amazing the middle was going great I can’t say I loved the ending but it was still a really great read.
    Tarryn Fisher is a Queen

“I feel better knowing that I’m not alone, that the whole world is as fragile and lonely as I am”

Not even sure how to review this without spoiling the whole story OR I could just use the mindblown emoji and leave it at that.
This is my first Tarryn Fisher book even though I have followed her on Instagram for a long time and love her. And well, she is a self-proclaimed villain, so obviously she can write them.
That being said, the story didn't feel fully unique. I mean, it was unpredictable AF but it also felt like something I'd already seen on Lifetime or something.

The WORST book I’ve listed to in years! I drive a lot and listen to 2-3 books a month, some are terrific, some are ok and some I don’t finish! But this made me very angry. If the author wanted to take on an implausible subject, she needed to figure out a decent plausible conclusion.

Spoiler alert! The author took the chickenshit way out and just called the main character crazy. Crapy writing, crapy characterization of mental illness, crapy way to let a lying cheating man off the hook! And the very last scene is absolutely horrific!

Do not waste your time, do not support this author!

What a twisty turny story! I was always guessing and feeling cocky when the twist came about how Thursday miscarried, because that idea had been niggling at me for several chapters. What a PLOT TWIST though!!! And the ending was such a cliff hanger! This book is a MUST READ! Or listen like I did! Thank you to my new favorite author for such a great novel!

This book both disrespected my intelligence and wasted my time. Great authors don’t build an entire universe for over six hours only to erase it in the last 30 minutes. I won’t be taking any more recommendations from this app. Back to Reece, Oprah and Man Booker lists.
