About this audiobook
After two years of taking care of her heartbroken father, Evie needs a new start. Leaving the States and following her sister to Australia to work as the personal assistant of rugby star Xavier "The Beast" Stevens seems like the right kind of distraction.
Tall, muscled, and devilishly handsome, Xavier is the love 'em and leave 'em kind of guy. He never forgets a girl's name because he never bothers to remember it in the first place. Evie soon realizes that being Xavier's assistant is a 24/7 job; the man seems unwilling to even set an alarm for himself.
As she watches him move from one woman to the next, Evie is glad that her heart is safe from his attention. After all, she's a far cry from the size zero models he usually takes to his bed.
But soon being around Xavier doesn't feel like a job and seeing him walk around his apartment half naked all the time isn't helping either. Evie knows that giving in to her attraction will lead to heartbreak, but when Xavier starts treating her as more than just his assistant, resisting his charms seems like an impossible task.

The Male voice was so annoying , he destroyed a good story, - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Loved the story but have to agree with other reviews that the male narrator and his female voice interpretation was very hard to deal with. That is the only reason it is 4 stars?
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I pretty much completely enjoyed this story of a manwh@re who falls for his BBW assistant. He was totally clueless, she was inexperienced, and they had great interactions when on the page together. Two problems, one I listened to the audiobook and the male narration when he was doing the female character was just awful. It was good when he did the male, and when the female narrator did both the female and male parts, just him doing her. Second, and this did get slightly redeemed later in the book, but I am so tired of characters who are overweight demeaning themselves in books and making everything about their weight. That happened a lot with Evie throughout the story and made her seem whiny and, really, not that likeable because of it. She assumed everyone was judging her because of her size. It got old really fast.
Those things aside, this was a snappy, almost romcom, that moved along at a good pace and had some great characters! - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I really enjoyed the book. At first the voices annoyed me from the male but I got used to it.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I had to push through this the male narrator made it very hard to listen to the story. I found his accent obnoxious and his female voice impression high pitched and grading
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I agree with the other reviewers—the story is good but the narrator for Xavier was awful. The voice was grating and loud and just completely annoying. I powered through but it’s quite unfortunate about the male narrator bc I think it takes a lot away from the story.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Great storey.
Didn't like the males voice over it was a bit off-putting
