About this audiobook

After marrying her college sweetheart, Ginger Williams gave up her own professional dreams to help her husband follow his dream of building a megachurch. It's not long before Ginger and her husband, Jeremy, turn a small D.C. church into a burgeoning empire..catapulting the couple into a popular powerhouse. But with a bigger spotlight comes more temptation.and the power is corrupting Jeremy in ways Ginger never imagined. When she seeks the advice of her peers on the First Ladies' Council, she's shocked when they tell her to accept Jeremy's infidelities so she doesn't damage the church and affect the many business opportunities coming their way. With every part of her life-family faith, and finances-hanging in the balance, Ginger must decide if she will continue to live in the shadow of the sins of her husband.or face life on the other side of the pulpit.

Pretty good. It ended kind of abruptly but overall a decent read. The plot seemed rushed once everything came out.

Book was better than I was expecting. The reader for the audiobook version used voices that were distracting.

This is an excellent “fictional” version of a real-life drama that happens to many of pastors wives (and to us ex-wives), yet is often overlooked and/or swept under the rug. Kudos to the author for telling a story that for many of us, has hit very close to home.

Overall loved book. Minor disagreement regarding knocking SE DC. Great people live there despite stereotypes. Keep up great work. Both Author and Narrator outstanding! Didn’t want to stop listening until finished.

This book was a lot better than I thought it would be! Loosely based on The author’s life, it gives a lot of insight on the perils and scandals faced in the Black Church. 10/10

Could have benefitted from a smoother flow and added eloquence. Far too long and unnecessary details that had no impact on the story. Was predictable, but if you know of Gizelle, it was interesting to hear a play on her life with Pastor Jamal.
