About this audiobook

Vivian: I'm the last person who should have ever been abducted by aliens. For me, this new life is a death sentence. I'm no hero like the other women I was abducted with. No, I'm a coward. They'll do whatever it takes to help each other and I'll simply do whatever it takes to survive, no matter what the cost. But there's one alien who refuses to accept my outlook on life. As a matter of fact, he's determined to change my mind.

Dax: I know I am the only male who will be able to pull Vivian from the darkness consuming her. Finding an opportunity, I decide to steal her away from the others, if only for a short while. What she needs is adventure, a little fun and excitement to remind her of all the beauty there is in life. I try to tell myself this is all just a game to lift the human's spirits, but deep in my core I know my feelings for Vivian will change me forever.

Dax and Vivian begin their journey with an innocent enough adventure, but just as they start to find love in one another, an evil crime lord rips the pair apart. Without Dax to light her way, Vivian plunges back into darkness. Her alien mate's life hangs in the balance and she is forced to fight for both his survival and her own.

Vivian started off SO ANNOYING that I wasn't sure if I'd like the book. But Tracy Lauren managed to develop her character so well that this is now my favourite of the series so far! Her background as a trauma counselor is really put to great use in this one. Loved the narrators as always!

Finally getting back to this series and now we are seeing what happened with Vivian and DAX. I have to say, Vivian was so annoying up to this point in the series and for most of the first half of the book as well. She was literally afraid of her own shadow. The adorable Dax has been keeping an eye on her and doing his best to try to cheer her up. Nothing had worked until he has an idea to take her on an adventure. I'm so glad that TL decides to do those with the characters, pulling Vivian away from the other human females forced her to trust one of the alien saviors and this allowed her to learn more about who she wanted to be. We get to learn so much about Vivian who is really just an introvert that was surrounded by a group of loud extroverts which made her shrink. I enjoyed watching the relationship between her and DAX Grow through a slow burn. TL also managed to break my heart in this book. I really enjoyed it for the most part. Though the last ten chapters I could've done without.

Oh my gosh where do I even start lmfao. Sooo this book really took me on a roller coaster of emotions . It took me a while to really get into the book at first I really just like I could not stand Vivian. Now im not even sure what to think. I feel like there should have been more specifically towards the end. It has me having a few questions. I can honestly say i did not see a lot of that coming.
