- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The 11 principles discussed in this book are very aptly segregated and clearly articulated. Each of them turns your thoughts from yourself to assisting your people achieve their goals. The point 'you grow only if they grow' is reverberated throughout the book. There's also a talk of 'ladder building' that the author talks about which emphasizes the importance of helping others move ahead in their career/journey.Interestingly, those 11 principles can be applied to any relationship - not just in an office environment. The author has an insatiable appetite to add value to people's life day-in-day-out. A couple of lines that stand out for me:If you don’t contradict yourself on a regular basis, then you’re not thinking. The goal is more important than the role.Needless to say, leaders are required at every level in an organization and hence a must read for anyone who wants to grow.
