    Former Army Ranger Pierce Hunt is no stranger to violence. With the clock ticking, Hunt goes off the grid and teams up with Garcia’s daughter, a former lover and current enemy. To save the girls, Hunt will have to become a man he swore he’d never be again: an avenging killer without limits or mercy.

    Simon Gervais

    Simon Gervais was born in Montréal, Québec. He joined the Canadian military as an infantry officer and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in 1997. In 2001, he was recruited by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and became a federal agent. His first posting was in Toronto, where he served as a drug investigator. During this time, he worked on many international drug-related cases in close collaboration with his American colleagues from the DEA. His career switched gears in 2004, and he was placed with a federal antiterrorism unit based in the Ottawa region. During the following years, he was deployed in several European and Middle Eastern countries. In 2009, he became a close-protection specialist tasked with guarding foreign heads of state visiting Canada. He served on the protection details of Queen Elizabeth II, US president Barack Obama, and Chinese president Hu Jintao, among others. Gervais lives in Ottawa with his wife and two children.

      Wow!! Wow! Awesome!! Suspense to the max! Enjoyed it a lot!

      I confess when I encountered the moron from the media at the beginning, the character pissed me off so much I seriously considered bailing on the book. The accurate portrayal of that character is too real given the nature of media today. Once the book got past that it started picking up steam. The story moves along without excessive emotional baggage thankfully and the primary character gets things done and makes mistakes and learns from them. I hope to encounter the character again.

      Even though I’ve been listening to this series out of order, each book has been very entertaining. I’ll want to read more by this author in future.

      Taken in book form. He even says he's acquired a special set of skills lol. Overall a good book though. Well paced and interesting throughout.
