About this audiobook
From 1974 to 1991, someone in the midwestern city of Wichita was leaving behind slain tortured bodies and anonymously proclaiming himself to police and reporters as "BTK" for "Bind, Torture, Kill." Then, for the next 14 years, BTK was silent. But when he began sending letters again, investigators would not miss their chance...
Stunningly, police arrested Dennis Rader, the president of his church board and the father of two. As a shocked community watched, evidence began to pile up. Then Rader coldly described how he went about "his projects" as the families of his victims relived the horrific scenes this supposed pillar of the community had unleashed on their loved ones.
From the tricks he used to enter his victims' homes to the puzzles he sent the media and the key role his own daughter may have played in his arrest, The BTK Murders is the definitive story of the BTK killer. He was, as one victim's family member called him, "a black hole inside the shell of a human being"—and the worst American serial killer since Ted Bundy.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5As a true crime fan this was a huge disappointment. The guy reading it was boring me and it felt like he was reading a fiction book. Had to stop listening after 12 chapters
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Another insight from a different aspect into the BTK murderer.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great BOOK
A lot of detail that at times were hard to listen to But the narration was very well done. In the end.I love the way Rader Was tricked into coming out of hiding.
Highly recommend - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Excellent listening and learning! I Couldn’t put it down …
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5At first, I didnt care too much for the way it started. The guys voice was different and for me hard to get used to. As I listened, it seemed to get more interesting and I got used to the guys voice. The story was interesting, and although long, I found some of the victim impact statements very sad. I hadn't heard these before and it made the BTK murders especially sad. I'm glad he got what he deserved.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5My advice, read Beattie's book...not this book about Beattie and his book and BTK. Just go straight to the source.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Not that informative really and didn't explain the murders as well as it should have. A bit disappointing that they couldn't do an in depth story about a highly interesting case.
