- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Very informative! It has history, travel, local lore, science, and a little self-deprecating humor. The author has a nice balanced way of educating rather than use evidence of climate change, pollution, or ill-advised fisheries management as a springboard to drumbeat a pro or con political side of global warming or environmental activism. This is an uncommon topic and thank you to the author for giving us this tour of lakes and the study of them; limnology.
